  1. First thing I would do is get shed of the Garrett. Second thing, get shed of the Whites. Then I would decide between the Nox and the Nokta Legend. In my case I would go with the Legend.

That is what I would do.

One more thing.. Just because the newer detectors have all the buttons and options doesn't necessarily mean you are required to learn them.. New detectors can be used as a turn on and go with factory presets just as easily with no adjustment required..

You have devices as good or better already. If you don't not like the screens, tape them over or put the controller in your pocket, and hunt by ear. Most XP users hunt by ear anyway. You can go down nostalgia road if you want, but personally I have done it many times, and reality never measures up to memory when it comes to comparing the old to the new.

Steve, the processed digital audio signal is not as informative as the analog unprocessed signal. That's where the true value of nuance would really be meaningful.

I'm used to finding iron relics with a Tejon I used to have, that gave a high tone on iron larger than a nail. With the Tejon you usually tell by tone that it's iron and can dig it or not.

I was complaining awhile back about digital detectors not giving a high tone on iron relics smaller than a horseshoe.

I have a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and have now figured out these digital detectors how to get the iron relics. Take the Legend for example. Nails disc out at 6-7. Bigger iron than a nail has a lower iron id. Large iron like a horseshoe has a higher id.

So if I want to dig iron relics with a digital detectors, just dig the iron signals that don't id as a nail lol. So having an Engineering degree I just figured out how to dig iron relics with a digital detector lol. The Equinox and Orx work the same way. Imagine that.

So if you're not finding much, dig some iron. You never know what you will find.

Business degree here. Not much desire for iron relics. I dig enough by accident.

Not profitable! Will never intentionally dig iron.

It seems to me that the one distributor is sitting on these adapters as I find no other dealers stocking them. Some are in love with a dollar so much that they will do whatever necessary to gain a few extra, and that is what appears to be happening.

Don't think it will be to long before XP gets wind of this practice and hopefully puts an end to it.

I was wanting to add one to my outfit as a just in case item but it's not really needed at this point.

Ser Detecting has the adapter cords for $18.54 shipped. That's $15 less shipping than the other company. The other co wanted $20.20 shipping alone, plus $12 for the cord.

I wanted to buy that headphone adapter from that link. Unfortunately the flat rate shipping charge on what could be put in an envelope was outrageous. 😵 It was much more than the item.

True, I saw the same and started to order 10 to get free shipping. Think 9 people would have interest from my bulk order with actual shipping?

No....It doesn't make a difference, something is wrong with the threshold.

Is a digital threshold active to a target signal or just a digital hum in the background, nothing more. Time was listening for the slightest signal tic would indicate the very deep targets with an analog machine. Just wondered if the same with digital technology and not where the signals have been digitized.

I will sell my D1 HF as soon as I have the D2 9"  .  I have no doubt that the D2 9" will do the job including high iron trashed areas from what I have seen during my tests of the D2 11"

    You do work for XP?
