I found more with my bounty hunter quick draw in the 70,s than my 1750.$ modern state of the art Tarsacci, its a strange thing , back then i had a crap detector but found more silver , and with the best of detectors i find, very little ,we need a detector that can see thru Iron and aluminum to a depth of 24 "
The silver is gone now.. It was not the detector.. silver was covering the ground. I was there 😉

Seems that's the price difference between pre order and waiting until in stock.

I didn't say you didn't... it stills detectable. You had a 30 something ID on the Dēus right?
Not my video..

It's not just a ring. It's a broken golden ring. I have a broken golden ring that sounds fishy while opened... but when i put it together, it sounds just great. You should record a video using the same ring and both detectors.
That ring, in the video, was originally found with a Nox at the beach..

I watched the video as well. What I did notice is Savannah Harps found the targets he used for testing previously. Calabash bought his test targets from a pawnshop. Hello?

I do a lot of competition hunting with the many clubs in the area. With my Deus 1 I have to stay away from Equinox's because they tear me up. I have to get pretty far away but I can deal with it because I can hear the interference stop. I really think the Equinox is putting out way more power than legally allowed because of how far away I have to get. It's doing something that no other detector does to the Deus, that is for sure.
Now I see Calabash's new video showing interference that you cannot hear. In this case the Equinox is basically overloading the receiver in the Deus II where it cannot receive it's own signal that it transmits into the ground. IMO this is unacceptable and a major flaw that XP needs to address. I doubt it can be fixed in software but will require a hardware change.
Is the case that Calabash shows in his video isolated or have others experienced this? Of course you would have to hunt with a Nox to know.
Are there any other detectors that effect the Deus II in the same way? To me this is a Show Stopper! Could you imagine hunting with a friend who is using a NOX and not knowing if he is interfering with you or not? You sure wouldn't want to use the Deus II in a competition Hunt!! I'm on the list to get a Deus II but until this is addressed I am waiting and will continue to use my Deus I.
Comments?
Would have been good if Calabash Digger had posted results of the EMI (silent emi) when he first discovered it. I think Steve's phone call the night before triggered CD's post of discovering the EMI problem but until then he had remained silent.

Had no problem using the Whites meter. But no, a screen is not a must but controls are. This is something that should have been addressed at the factory as the way things are situated now to re-engineer would be pointless.
If I had a J shaped rod I think I could attach the Nox control unit as a extension of the J.
-
Exactly! But the control unit can be anywhere..
-
Balance has nothing to do with it. I had rather the detector be held below my hand as opposed to above it.
-
We have spoken about it several times. I'd like the handle to hang from my fingers rather than than to hold the handle, fist under the control box.
I have strapped the rod to my wrist and that helps as I can pretty much let go of my hand gripping the handle of the Nox. for short periods of time.
As I said before, it's like carrying a bucket of water by the bail, it hanging on ones fingers rather than by a handle on the side of the bucket. The weight being all on the wrist as opposed to hanging on the hand/fingers.

Yes, getting closer to a handle being held parallel to the ground instead of perpendicular.

Getting warm 😉

Wouldn't trust the Colchester guy as far as I could throw him.
Sorry to hear of yet another delay.

The Snake would be excellent for much of my use. We in the US aren't fortunate enough to have thousands of acre clear fields to hunt, spring and fall and thats where the large coils excel. I have large coils for Tesoro, Nautilus, and a couple more but can not remember the last time they were used.
Thanks phrunt!
-
I have seen absolutely no info on the smaller coil for the Simplex? If all still quiet after this time, I will take for granted that those of us that purchased the Simplex after being lead to believe accessory coils were in the works were just screwed.
Lesson learned.

That will work, just touch up the edge with a file.

That's when I'll be a buyer.

solid.
For those interested the price is $169 shipped. The adapter alone is available for $40 as some
