  1. Rudy, Now I will agree that your GP 3000 is in its own class. After years of watching you dig up nuggets right behind the group hunts with our GPX's. You will admit it's the most beat up detector around and they don't fix them anymore, mat least Minelab doesn't. So you may as well get with the program and upgrade to the GPZ. See ya tomorrow for the hunt! Rick
  2. Lunk, Great shooting! I can only swing my 7000 till its battery runs out of juice 5 days a week...lol. Keep that coil on the ground and Until the next hunt! LuckyLundy
  3. Paul, They have shoes there to fit your size 17 feet! I'm use to seeing you barefooted...lol Rick
  4. I have several pairs of metal free boots! All the brands are a little different fit wise. To bad LA Police Gear doesn't have a place a person can try the different brands on at one place to achieve the perfect fit for your feet! Happy boot shopping, LuckyLundy
  5. Ok, Luck or Lucky! I was born on St. Patrick's Day, which is fast approaching, no reminders please! That Nickname, I've had since I was a kid. I can think back on my life and tell you I have been lucky in life. Or was it the way I was raised as a child to set goals and achieve them. I was fortunate to have many mentors throughout my years to point out my miss steeps, so I could get back in step. Prospecting was no different. As a young 18 year old, I was all ears listening to my Dad's friends telling us the ins and outs of dredging in the chilly creeks of Prescott, AZ. I took all my gain knowledge and parlayed. Lucky you bet! Now, those with the new GPZ are still learning the new detector. I will say, I have found gold with mine that has been pounded by many of America's best gold detectorist. Chris & Steve, have written not to expect to find gold on every single old patch you have is very clear. My SDC & GPZ, have not found any gold on several old patches. But the gold that they have found on old patches brings a smile to your face and makes you shake your head...I am Lucky, Until the next hunt! LuckyLundy
  6. Now I need a patch full of that gold...lol. Great read guys! Keep the great work up...Until the next hunt LuckyLundy
  7. Art, You ran into some of our group members out at Rye Patch. Rudy, and his GP 3000 is a legend and constantly makes us shake our heads. The Alaska Boyz, are die hards and always have a smile on their faces with or without nuggets. Here is Rudy's nugget all cleaned up. Glad we helped you out Art, you have a great machine there is no dought in my mind. LuckyLundy
  8. Another idea. If your GPZ is acting up and your thinking about sending it in for a checkup. Why not just hook it up to your computer to the Minelab Doctor page and run diagnosis and fix it at home? LuckyLundy
  9. Russ, Hey great detecting! That fresh air and excercise will help your health, keep the great work up! LuckyLundy
  10. Good read! I have a bunch of Buddies out at Rye Patch as I write this note. They have the 7000, 2300 & one GP3000 die hard. Needless to say the 3000 friend has the largest nugget so far of the trip @ 18" deep to boot. All gold metal detectors will find gold! What makes the real difference is the operator and their knowledge of their equipment. You may not own the greatest or latest gold detector out there. if you have a gold detector learn it and make it work for you! Until the next hunt LuckyLundy
  11. From reading the above your choice to choose the right detector is like picking out the right fishing lure or which weapon to best suit the outing. All these sports/hobbies are similar which my garage spare space will account. I can only hope, that my detector choice for the days hunt is the right one for the type of gold that I intend to hunt. Is there a perfect all around detector...time will tell. Until the next hunt LuckyLundy
  12. Steve, your forum will receive all my/our adventures in our hobby! Thanks for drawing a line...to draw the most talented and new detectorist to receive sound information and to find a good deal. One stop information forum, this leaves the flavor of a Medium Rare Rib Eye in my mouth...your a Genius! LuckyLundy
  13. Dale, Welcome to my Favorite forum! We loved your Video...Until the next hunt! LuckyLundy
  14. AussieDigger, Great work! No need to remind us of hot Summers ours will be here soon enough! Hit that patch again LuckyLundy
  15. Now your talking Norm! Go find some new gold with your new detector...see ya in the goldfields LuckyLundy
  16. Aussiedigger, Great finds! No matter what country your in the color looks great! We all are learning the ins and outs of this new technology. And without my normal amount of beer money in my poke, I need to take it out everyday to learn and fill my poke back up! Good shooting and until the next hunt LuckyLundy
  17. Tell ya what, that nugget is safe...but that pie, I'd die for! LuckyLundy
  18. The more I look at this detector the more I want one just for the cool factor! Rick
  19. Wow! They should do the same for the SDC...very nice! Rick
  20. Flak, Robin and I, love watching Gymnastic's and will follow the Girls. It is a grueling sport of endless practice and routine. There is plenty of gold left when you get the time, just drop one of us a note for a swing on a patch or two! Best wishes! Go Team USA! Rick
