  1. Solitude, has led me on countless pokes of nuggets! The soothing silence of the open spaces help me put a Career in the Military to ease. I become one with my Metal Detector and never second guess my intuition when I’m in the zone. They say, Gold is where you find it and Metal Detecting the High Desert plains of Northern Nevada is a prime example. As many of you know, there’s a layer of soil covering the indicator rocks I look for in many different locations. It makes Patch Hunting a challenge as you may wonder out of your prime dirt area, if there is no bare spots showing rocks to keep you on track. So, Patch Hunting is time consuming and can be worth the time and effort. One Patch will lead to the next if you pay attention to the indicators, Mother Nature hides her treasures well. So, keep swinging that coil you never know where that next Patch will be at! LuckyLundy
  2. Maybe they are including all 3 Coils and 2 batteries 😂
  3. Condor, 😂 Nothing’s like a Dried out lip(s) from the High Plains. Them dinks had you licking your chops hoping they’d lead you to a patch. Thick coat of Vaseline to collect the dust you kick up with your RZR will help out...90 degree weather this weekend...that will dry that desert out fast! Rick
  4. Condor, You tried your hardest to convince me for a turn around trip! Weather Radar kept me from joining you and a couple nice Jackpots at the casino kept the Crown Royal coming 😂. You’ll recoup just like that big Puppy and your truck will...plenty of spots out there! I’ll show you a couple more next time out...but, I’m thinking that new 6000 will be the ticket to clean them patches up? Glad to hear the 6000 performed under them wet conditions and I know exactly what No Yellow Under a Coil, sounds like and always looks like a Skunk...hate them days! Keep them Ivan Coils working until the 6000 arrives! Rick
  5. 800 Nox, Monster run next to to the 6000. The 7000 & 6000 will tune each other out to swing close to each other!
  6. Yep, you thought I left early! My phone is loaded with weather/radar apps and most times I’m more correct than those so called Weather Readers on TV. Best part of that rain is it settled down the dusty trails for the Side X Side. My eyes 👀 where tearing mud. Give a report, on the 6000 handling the fresh wet ground there. Rick
  7. Condor, Your in a good area, expand your search! Boot’s and coil on the ground will lead you to a poke of gold. Rick
  8. Yep, I’ll know California well. Had stolen everything including a truck, Favorite Cowboy Hat, dredges, you name it...Luv NorCal and them toothless smiles when I catch up to them 🤔
  9. GC, Thats a great Truck! But, just like anything else it’s not for me. I have a Mega Cab Dodge! Back seats lay flat and that’s my base camps without having to pull my Toy Hauler. I bought a little 570 RZR that fits in the bed of the truck and that is my Prospecting Mule. Rick
  10. Jason, Your more than right! Kind of like my 2010 Dodge Ram, I love it. Still gets me to where I want to go and back home, very reliable. I look at the new Trucks with tons of new Technology, bright and shiny. All I see is Desert Pin Stripes in the new paint and dusty interior...but, the new bells and whistles. I’ll hold off for now on a new truck 😂
  11. Mitch, you’d/you’ll enjoy the 6000. We where taking turns using Steve’s 6000. Condor, would hand it off to me. I’d set my 7000 down and grab the 6000, it had a sensation that it wanted to float it’s so light weight 😂. One of the tester had the 800 Nox with the new after market coil (forgot name of coil). I can see you with both with a smile on your face well into the future. Rick
  12. Jason, I just got home from running Steve’s 6000. End of that hill with my stock 7000 coil and my Favorite settings had me running to find milder ground. The 6000 ran very nice in that Toxic ground. Thanks Steve H. Fell in love with with your 6000 and your generosity to give it a go! It didn’t fail, everyone had a rattle in the poke bottle. It’s everything you wrote about! Oh we paired your Avantree shoulder speaker nice, sounded great! Just wondering if their water resistant and what they’d feel on your neck on a hot day...couldn’t be worse than a hot headphones 😂. 11” coil seems to be the ticket. We tested the DD Coil on undisturbed targets, deadly smooth. Seemed we had to swing the coil slower than the 11” Mono to sound on the target as all but one was very small bits of wire and one flat dink nugget. I was very satisfied with the DD Coil and I know there will be some great find with it as I tend to avoid Salty Noisy areas unless I know there’s good gold in it and will adjust my 7000 to try to deal with it. I’m going to have to order another one, I’ll never get it out of Robin’s hands! Rick
  13. Steve, Your words are solid gold, your GPX 6000 Poke is poof in the Pudding! I know the same ground your Detecting, it’s been pounded by every detector ever made. There’s still Virgin Patches of Gold out in the Millions of Acres of the High Deserts of Northern Nevada. All I’m looking for in Patch Hunting is “One Duck” and my current 7 pound Shotgun has me feeling my age after a day of Sage Brush Dancing. There’s to many videos out to say the 6000 doesn’t find missed gold in old haunts. That old saying that only 1% find gold consistently with the same detector as others continue to get skunked with is true. I’ve helped out hundreds with detector settings and pointy fingers only to see them wonder far out of the Patch boundary and when they return to find out they switched their setting I gave them for the soil of the patch. Being retired Military with the “Old Sarge” mentality I know I can’t help everyone. Some will fall to the side and some will match or exceed you. I Tend to these people. Your Forum is the best and one I “Tend”...some will fall to the side and move on in their own way. You keep showing your Proof in the Pudding and Tend to the one(s) Forum Member that will exceed/excel in your reviews. Rick
  14. Keep swinging! You know there’s patches to find out there. Good luck Rick
  15. Mitch, USA gets them last and Africans are so busy digging Nuggets they have no time to post! 😂
  16. Lunk, Your giving away Secrets of Rye Patch with low sensitivity and extra slow coil speed. Eager, to hit Rye Patch but which Patch first with the 6000 😂 Rick
  17. Norm, Your a Champion, a Man Among Men and one of my Favorite Prospectors! Take advantage, Be positive and Keep on Keeping on! Rick & Robin
  18. I have a Buddy that bought them for fishing videos! Problem with Prospecting is when looking around your giving away your area. Other than that they work fine and we’ve made some great videos with them.
  19. “When I get up there I'm going to put one of those trackers on Lundy and plot his movements by satellite to find all those secret patches.” Steve, where ever you live at give me a shout! I’m always out and need more coils on the ground to find them patches! Jason, ground is Good! High Yield/Normal is working fine with low sensitivity. As it dries out more, back to my regular setting of 9. Found a few dink’s on last trip, which I didn’t find any the week before. So ground is shaping up nice! But, chilly bring heavy fleece for morning chill. Rick
