  1. I know you are already in beast mode and already on the pre-order list!🤣
  2. Grab your popcorn, drink and get your armchair ready. Minelab is building up for their new release. Enquiring minds want to know!
  3. Our own "Outback Yank" aka Vanursepaul makes a cameo appearance in Krissy's video. I'll need to get Paul's autograph now since he will undoubtedly be famous and go viral.
  4. Nice finds Steve. Nice to see you again up there. And I finally got to meet Condor in person. Tell him thanks again for letting me try out the X Coil. I appreciate it.
  5. Well here is the gpx 6000 17" elliptical skidplate. This was a brand new coil. I put about 4 hours on it on Saturday. I keep my coil low, but I don't grind it. The plastic is so soft, you can gouge it with your fingernail.
  6. My sediments exactly. Best post on this topic! Patch hunt with a lighter capable detector. Then if you find a spot worth scratching around a bit, then bring in the GPZ. I've been hitting the same spots for too long. Even the deer and bears are sick of seeing me there! 🤣 The hot weather is subsiding a bit. Time for a change of scenery. Doing the same thing over and over & expecting different results is done with my detecting for this season. If I'm going to get skunked for the day, it will be looking for that new patch.
  7. I'd be curious to see how AI could be applied to geology and mapping of ancient gold bearing rivers? From what we have now to what geologists have previously discovered and published their findings. Possibly could be a useful tool in future gold patch hunting.
  8. I have been enjoying this guy. He detects with beer in hand. And his mom also detects with him. Pretty funny stuff. https://youtube.com/c/GoldfieldsGoose
  9. Krissy puts out a great channel. Fun to watch. https://youtube.com/c/OutbackGoldFever
  10. Here is a good video with our own Steve H. https://youtu.be/NNrzHMKuq_U
  11. I really like watching Two toes. Great guy, love how patient he is in a spot that he thinks has gold. https://youtube.com/c/TwoToes
  12. Over the years I've watched 100s of metal detecting videos. Always searching to learn something from other detectorists. I know I'm missing so other channels to subscribe to. Comment below your Favorites. And what things you liked or learned from them.
  13. Hey, heard you got your camper back. Is it true that is was stolen by a bunch of Australian miscreants? You need to check it for listening devices now ( bugs) . We don't need the Aussies stealing your gold detecting secrets. Anyhoo, glad you got your " Outback Shack" back! And that's a fact ,Jack! Peace out! SS.
  14. Yes I finally concur with Klunker on something, the Australian blue Berber carpet is exquisite. Did you carpet your camper walls with it again? Wall to wall carpet doesn't actually mean carpeting your walls O-Yank!🤣
  15. The only minelab issue I've had was a broken lower shaft on my 7000. A mean momma bear was about to give chase to Klunker & I. So figuring my only chance of escape was to klunk Klunker in the noggin with the detector. Hence the namesake. 🤣
  16. Curious to know if the DD coil has any discrimination qualities? Not sure if this has been covered. But the DD on the 5000 would blank out over some ferrous targets.
  17. Watched your recent videos last night. That is some beautiful gold. Way to get them in your pocket.
  18. Strick, when I used your machine awhile back, I had the same issues. It was running erratic. The coil falsed on the slightest bump. I was thinking that this is how the 6000 runs. I was not impressed at all. But my experience in the 4 hours I ran it might be clouded because it might be faulty. I would like to run another machine so I can make a better opinion for myself.
  19. I decided to give the Reebok boots that Gold Catcher recommended. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BFAC3O0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1 And I ordered a cooler backpack. Hopefully both of these work well for me. When my belly is full and properly hydrated, I can concentrate on my detecting much better. And hopefully these boots soles hold up much better. Appreciate everyone's input. Keep them coming. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07YK2KYWC?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image#
  20. Mine are RB8977. They are very comfortable. Except for the treads, holding up very well.
