Well I’m answering my own question as I was writing on the 12 hour it just turned blue. Wow 12 hrs to charge headphones. That’s nuts!!

It seems like the initial charging time usually takes longer than after use.  Just from experiences that I have had.

Glad you got a new set.  I have another one to send in.  So I do believe phrunt is right in that Minelab doesn't care "why", they just send you a new set and let it go at that.

All those gold rings in one hole has gotta be a record !🤩

Sigh, but since they are all interlaced, it ultimately just counts as 1.  I have dug 3 interlaced silver rings on two occasions before but never 7 and never 18K gold either.  Never a dull moment on the surf!!!

  3. And the more you use it, the more you will like it.  It seems to be better than the 800 in moderate black sand but nothing will be as good or better than a PI in the black.  If there had been foil on your beach, you would have heard it.  I got two silver dimes and a small gold ring on my first hunt with Manti back in Jan.  When in the right mode, it is indeed a "Beast"!

Go ahead. You can admit it. It's from your own personal drug kit ! I think me & Slimpickuns have found many of those , just not with the AK47 design. Cats outta the bag Cuniagau 🤣

KOB, I was "Up in Smoke" on this one.  Glad you SoCal boys have set me straight.  (or have you steered me in a different direction?  LOL   This hobby is a constant education for sure.

Is a tool used for smoking cannabis oil... The one below isn't exactly like the one you found but you get the idea...

Slimpickuns wins the kewpie doll.  Leave it to a SoCal boy to have the answer.  Wrong weapon though, but right site.  LOL

M4 Rifle Metal Dabber – Empire Smokes   Mine has the stock broken off and the dabber bent somewhat.

I guess if I were younger or had a few more aches and pains I might have known what a dabber was.  LOL

Thanks for the education!!!  Now what did I do with that container of THC concentrates that I found close by the dabber???

  6. It rang up a 58 on the Manticore.  It was about 3 scoops down in the wet sand.  It is 5 1/2 inches long.  What the hell is this?  Geez, the crazy stuff people take to the beach!!!  It appears to be a long barreled automatic pistol with a hockey blade on a round shaft.  The pistol appears to be made of a darker metal than the hockey stick.  Looking at it with a loupe, there is NO seam between the barrel and the hockey stick though.  It appears to be a solid, one piece of metal.  This hobby sometimes drives me nuts.  LOL  Most of the time I usually have an idea of what I find.  This time, maybe a gangster hockey stick???  But if it is, they have the blade upside down.  Ha ha.

I am trying to think outside the box, but I am having a challenging time on this one.  Someone, anyone, please, what is this?????

Great find. Congratulations. Was that found in the surf or farther out?

It was in the wet transition area.  It was a steep beach that is a bit difficult to detect but will occasionally toss something up from Davy Jones's locker!

    That's a beauty.

I'd get excited too!  My find early this morning was a cheap imitation silver ring.

You are going to get some company down your way when the hurricane/tropical storm comes in Sunday-Tuesday.

Always looking forward to the "company"!  I hope it stirs things up a bit! 😎

  9. Compass,

I got a warm fuzzy this morning from your post on your returned Texas A&M College ring and surprise token of appreciation.  It sent me back to my find and return of a Texas A&M College ring that I dug on a Laguna Beach beach on July 15 2022.  I received a token of appreciation and a full page handwritten letter (suitable for framing, I might add) from the ring's owner.  The token was muchly appreciated but the feeling of doing the right thing is something that jazzes me up every time I think about it and hear stories of returns like yours.  I had to reread my letter again today. LOL

As the ole cartoon says, "You're a good man, Charlie Brown"!
