    Hahahahaahaha...agreed---- I havent got time in my life to care about minutiae like that--- im sure there is another batt in the works------- BUT...... I have more important fish to fry-----like beach SETTINGS and NEGATIVE numbers---dig or no dig.... ???? And I should be digging ----- instead of posting like i am now!!!!? Going digging!!!!! now!

    I just got a Samson 31" and it looks nice -- and a belt holder (then i realized i dont wear a belt)? I will use it during these last 30 days i have before Oz.... I will go to the VA where I work ---i understand it has been there since it was donated after the Civil War for Veterans... 400 acres.... but not all detectable of course--- i have been looking at old plat maps and it looks interesting.. I had a VA policeman check me out last year when i went for a short hunt---- he was amused that I would waste my time walking around with a detector.... But never was negative about it---so I will continue to see what I may find here. I also understand they family that donated the land back then has a museum downtown Santa Monica so maybe I will check it out to get clues on where to concentrate... Oh and Steve, I knew you were talking about jewelry in my above post.... I thought that was understood---we dont look for clad!!! hahahaha

    UPDATE: Got the little 3 piece earring thru the ultrasonic cleaner today and it popped up 925!!!!! Silva baby!!! Went to the beach with Mitchel, Lu and The BIG BOY......Curtis After a little class on beach hunting we headed out--- First hour I got a corroded penny....?---but hey we were at the beach on a beautiful day----there were some other sights to enjoy also...? Anyway i digress,,, next stop somewhere near Venice Beach----- we attacked again,,, I finally locked in to a quarter and then started gridding, picked up some jewelry stuff and then a dime.... then i found the big one!!!! 1 ouncer and a half ouncer and a 3/8 ouncer!!! Fishing weights that is!!!? But those weights slowed me down and got me gridding even slower... and i got a faint weird hit that was deep....but it was junky sounding Off and on with numbers going this way and that way every time the waves came in and filled up the hole. grrrrr So the next time i got a break from the waves I dug like Trent King after a gurgler!!!!! hahhaha Turned out to be my first ring of the season!     I ordered the Taskmaster's Fourby Thongs today------ The cobbler was a bit flattered that people would actually like his new design... We had to give them a name so I guess maybe the Aussie Fourby thong is it.... The Fourby I like it!

Good job on the lump.mate!... gets me more excited every day.... i feel a good year coming on... 36 days till OZ/Yank day... Oh yeah, Goldhound Dale messaged me to remind me my 5000 and pack were still at his house in Queensland !!! I totally forgot that i left it there...i was in a whirlwind that last week..... My Taskmaster says that didn't surprise him too much?

    Well mates, I have been giving my new thongs a go here to see if they will work to keep my feet from hurting on those pesky quartz rocks in WA... I stepped out of me camper last year and dam nigh crippled myself when i stepped right on a sharp stone....it came right thru the sole of the Kmart thongs! So while in Washington State earlier this year i got a grand idea.... went to the local cobbler to see if he could help.... what a prince of a fellow! He took some good thongs he had on display and added a great Vibram sole to them....i can't remember cost exactly, but it was less than 100 usd. I just have to be on alert from those nasty pick strikes and deflections....? on me tender toes.

    Cause it moves around too much when I am checking the hole...makes me seasick when I playback tripods fine for me I’ll probably run it over with the backhoe anyway....

    Yeah, that's too many hang points on that rig to suit me. How bout the camera velcroed to the harness and get rid of those 3 big screws.. or are you looking for an angle?

    Got a good day on the beach with BrokenArrow--- Took my 600 out for the virgin hunt and the first target was a penny 1972 ! Got a cellphone that got me ginned up because it was the same size as an iphone 6 so i stuffed it in my bag and kept going.... Later on when we got away from that area---we looked at it closer and it was a ratty Android Alcatel...that i had smashed---the screen was toast. but it did give me a thrill for a little while. Jon beat me with his 800 and scored about 10 dimes---which reminded me that i was good on the dimes there last year as well---- but i didnt get one with the 600--- little tidbit for the data bank Great day, beautiful 70 degree weather....

    I have the 18650s in my SDC and i like them-- i can charge 4 up at one time and they are much easier to fool with.... I have never had them lose contact yet and they are CHEAP online.....

    i dont think so--- i just use the sdc for pinpointing ---once i find it with the 5000 and a 16 inch round NF Advantage --or the 17x13 Evo- -im taking a Detech 15 too this year and a 12 inch Evo just for fun--- (and it always drives the Taskmaster crazy when i am fkn around with stuff like that...lol) I havent seen a Coilteck coil for it yet anyway----where are they?

    Quit worrying about money and enjoy spending some there--- the Aussies need the cash,,,, be a sport....and relax....enjoy,,,,and find some dam gold!!!! Try not to focus on how much it costs or you wont be happy while youre there-IMO ( i just come back home and try to make some more to take back to my Aussie blokes! next year!! hahahaha)
