I was in oil and gas exploration in the 70's and early 80's until I switched career paths. We lived in Arizona for 16 years during my residency years and beyond. I know the Sonoran desert, but I would like to see some lidar-enhanced images to find buried/abandoned stream beds. The tailing piles around the Hasayampa River are astounding in some areas; they're a monument to how much work men are willing to do in order to get rich the "easy" way.

Which map(s) does one download from Google Earth Pro if elevation changes and terrain are your main focus? Is that any "layer" of LIDAR that sees beneath the surface, as in an old, abandoned stream bed?
