  1. I'm curious, how does one get the gold out of that "rock", Is it smelt down by a 3rd party or is it easy to do at home?
  2. Hi again everyone. I went ahead and bought my coils. after many hours of thinking and reading i decided to get 3 additional coils for my GPX. I should be set for life now :) 11" Minelab Commander Mono Nugget Finder 14x9 EVO Detech 15" Ultimate Spiral DD
  3. Just like to say what started it all for me back in May was watching Bill Southern and his videos. :)
  4. Thank you everyone :) I will stick to the Minelab 8'inch for awhile. But i was also thinking of ordering a Coiltek Elite 9"inch so i'll have it for the future just in case the coils become unavailable.
  5. Okay thanks fredmason. I'm going to stick with Minelab :)
  6. I was wondering if the aftermarket coils were that much better than the Minelab, i.e Coiltek. I'm very hesitant to go Coiltek because the GPX was designed to use only Minelab coils? My fear is i don't want to hurt my GPX 5000 in the long term by putting a coil on it that Minelab doesn't like? It seems like everyone with a GPX is using a aftermarket coil. I especially like the Coiltek 9" Elite I'f you were me would you get a Coiltek coil?
  7. A day out on a claim was what was in the description. I'm going to watch more videos too. I understand most of it all but theres only one thing. Can i put it on Deep when in Fine Gold. I'll have to read the manual again :)
  8. Hi everyone, i'm excited! I just purchased a GPX-5000. I got 10% off the total. With an additional 8" commander mono coil, the total came out too 3.8k. I studied for awhile on which one to get, the GPX-4500 or 5000. I figured for 1k more I could get the better one, so I got the GPX-5000, Yay!
  9. I found some more information about Vanquish, doesn't look like it will beat a GPX-4500
  10. Hello everyone, i just bought a F-Pulse and want to share some important findings. Alkaline AA (Panasonic Platinum Power) = Sens-3, works perfect. Lithium AA (Energizer Lithium Ultimate) = Sens-3, noisy on everything even holding in mid air. Hope this helps someone because i've been reading about people thinking there pointer is broken.

  12. Hello again everyone, I've been sitting here waiting for September and I accidentally bought a Goldmonster 1000 I figured a Secondary machine couldn't hurt and will be useful.
  13. Here's a interesting read. If this asteroid crashed on Earth, it could make everyone a billionaire and collapse the Earth's economy. Crazy! https://www.foxnews.com/science/nasa-headed-towards-giant-golden-asteroid-that-could-make-everyone-on-earth-a-billionaire
  14. Hello! Everyone! I'm back from my first site(s). The Hayden claim site indeed did have way too many hot rocks. I had a crash course in learning my detector lol. Got there about 6pm and wasn't hot at all about 97f. First thing i want to say i felt like i was in heavan! i wanted to scan everything and do it now! lol but in reality I only stayed near the car and only dug 3 holes...depressing i know but the first item i found was a 1980 penny at 3 inches! i was so happy!! lol. Next two holes i dug i found a 9mm casing in each hole. I left the site at 8pm. The next day (Sun) i left at 12pm for another claim site in Bumble Bee. Lol yes i was hungry for more! Sadly I only dug one hole and found another 9mm casing at 4in. Had to leave early because it was way too hot and I didn't bring enough water. I didn't account for the effort it took to actually walk up hills and actually get to the site which was 2400 ft walk from the car. A huge lesson i have learned, google map's satellite view is very deceiving about hills and mountain height's. I can't wait to go back to Bumble Bee in October. (sorry about the last pic it came from a screenshot from a video)
