palzynski, you are trying to compare work of your MDs with NFD 90... the thing is recovery here momentum (uncomparable in other words), you can move coil fast or slow (no diffirance), if target present under the coil you will not miss it. Monte wanted more sharper and usual sound ID on depth... that what I'm working on and will show results soon

Many people thinking 1 MD can handle all situations and conditions... But it will be just compromise Good question what is depth? Did you saw my tests in the ground with small pices of iron near the surface? Try to repeat that with your MDs... They will lose depth no mater multi or single freq. with fastest speed in settings Concentric coils been tested, DD is better for mineral ground and separation. NFD 90 made to see hard targets (low conducted coins & jewelery size) thru iron... For nuggets better use MD without Disc Weather don't let me do tests... So it will take some time. Sven, in miniral soil you need to use Dynamic mode. Modern sites are hard to hunt... but for best sepparation on low conductors we can't cut foil. I duged coins from 9" in black soil, just need to here faint thrashold. Try to hunt with it more on other sites. When you do GB coil should be not very close to ground. All your info is taken into account! Will do some changes to improve signal ID on depth. Conception of NFD 90 is not depth monster but it has max depth on iron infested places. Will do video test in real conditions and show what it finds

All MDs that selling now are almost the same... axcept design or principe of detection (vlf, pi). It is imposible to make 1 metal detector and have best perfomance in all conditions! NFD 90 was made to make best perfomance in iron infested hard soils or sea beaches. For best separation and more gold finds you can't cut foil. I done many tests to show what it can do, but best test is user experiance

NFD 90 is monotone but not misses targets. Also in trashy areas you relax and dig (there is no iron tone). Is it possible to know size of the target? Yes, there is short and wide signals Depth in the black ground is about the same as ORX with HF coil. NFD 90 was made to find things in hard soil

Try to watch video on 60 fps... There are two types of sound linear & thrashold. It can be used BT headset. In trashy areas VDI (5 tones) are useless. I undestand that you want to chose what to dig, but most interesting targets will be missed. No problem to send to EU but you need to send me PM and wait in line

VDI don't work in that areas with many small iron in the ground... Finds will be mostly near surface, 6" coil is helpful (slow speed swinging)

Ground test... How many targets do you miss?

MD can be used on any shaft. Body light and small in aluminimum case. It is analog and there is nothing to be broken if you don't drown it. Coil weight 0.75 Lbs. It uses 2X 18650 li-ion batteries, Type-C charging. You balance it, chosing Mode and go detecting

Many silver or cooper coins not a problem clear signal. If you cut aluminium you will miss gold and juwelery also lose in separation... bad idea MD will be available in US, price under $200

That large targets is so easy for NFD 90 that I will not test them... If you find little peaces of iron (5-7) from my video and place them on top of brick you will not find under the brick medium or small coins. What it is means... Gold coins, jewelery will be missed. Test must be equal. Also any of your MDs will not see small or medium coin near horizontal old nail if it will lay perpendiculary to you, no mater what coil you use. If it is ok for you than I don't mind

kac, well waiting you can repeet my test... I gues you know all about MDs. Coin is bronse 48-50 VDI... Try gorisontal perpendicular nail also... Use brick I dont need ground test

Everything is in comparison but important thing how MD eleminates ground... Most clear places already hunted... Old vilages where peoole leaved always have many small iron peaces in the ground (MDs even not sounding on them). You think you have good separation to find interesting stuff? Just try to place small peaces of rusted iron on the ground or brick (see test)... and smile, your MD will not see even medium size coin on 3" (no mater what freq. you chose)

Did you saw diameter of the coil in Monte test? You don't have to play with 3 coils or think what you missed in some areas. For hot ground MD have Dynamic mode. Mono coil not working good in miniralized soil also it have small scaning zone. Relic (deep targets) and separation are not friends) In reality, before teling you about MD, I tasted all in ground. Best test is user experiance. Everybody running for depth but most important is discrimination. For Max depth better use other MD with different specs (kHz, schematic, coil)

Steve Herschbach, all tests was done also in the ground, same result. To imitate soil I used very hard briks. To film test in soil I need some time (have video but with test unit). ORX in Coin Fast 9" Coil 30kHz one of the best in separation so I compared them in same conditions...

That MD have normal depth and great separation with discrimination. Depth depends from many factors... As you can see if place poluted with many smal iron targets ORX (or other MDs) don't have depth at all. In hard ground depth on low conductors becomes in bad Discrimination (good targets will sound iron for other MDs). So all depends from place and MD that you using. If you want deepest targets use All metal mode without discrimination and look for weak signals...
