I think you'll see it. First comes the window sticker, then the display underneath.

Hey I found the problem with exploding cap on the White XLT. Used the wrong voltage 16 volts instead of 25 volts. Also I'm working on Display replacement. Think I have found how to replace them with some repairs to old display board. I will continue on, then after I receive all the parts and put them all together I'll let members know. That is if anyone wants to know. Thanks Mickey Mouse.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Hello. This is what I use, tactical gear but no specific brand. (except the leather pouch)

If you are going to replace caps, test them after you remove them one at a time with a good meter that doesn’t just give you value but ESR and other parameters.  So many products have been damaged by people doing cap replacements without reason. The instructions for the XLT rechargeable pack say it is 10V not 12V. So either you are putting the cap in backwards or your pack voltage is too high. The CD4316 has a max VC spec of 10V so maybe you damaged several components with your “12V” pack.

Using the standard battery pack, which holds 8 penlight AA cells, each 1.5 Volt, will not damage anything if all works as it should. (8x1.5V=12V if I remember correctly?!)

    Hi Folks

I have a hot V3i, I would like to get the Bigfoot coil for it, but those are currently unaffordable, so I am looking at the 18x4 arrow.

Years ago, I had a Bigfoot coil for my DFX, and XLT. One of my favorite combos was a White's classic IDX, with Mr Bill's modes, running the Bigfoot coil.

Anyone using the 18" X 4" arrow on the V3i, if so, what do you think

What kinda depth are you seeing

    How is the target separation

    Thanks and HH

    As an update.....

Detech had confirmed via emails that the 15x8 mono coil, the 11" and 12,5" were compatible with the TDI SL so....

    I visited https://www.thrace-detectors.com/15x8-mono-minelab-gpx-detectors?search=15x8&description=true

and went through the purchase process and paid with PayPal.

Confirmation of payment by email from PayPal immediately, but no confirmation of purchase by email from Thrace metal detectors 10 hours later.

My suspicion is that I wont get the coil. There is only 2 hours time difference.

I think you'll get your new coil right before x-mas....hopefully.🤞

    Good Luck

I have never done anything with a metal detector until this last weekend. My girlfriend and I went out and had a blast. Found a bunch of old pull tabs and buttons. I'm here to find out more about my Legend and general tips and tricks.

    Thanks!

You're in the right place to find out.

    Welcome aboard.
