  1. Well I'm glad to here that they helped someone.Congrats and if you don't mind leave some feedback in the way of comments on post. As it will help other new users. May We All Be Successful!!!!!!!
  2. What has helped me and might help others is I have a place that goes back to the mid 1800's and was gone before 1910. Nothing has been there since. Pretty much period type targets so learning the machine I think is allot easier as you don't have a ton of trash targets to dig. I've pretty a great many coins out of this spot and it just keeps giving. The previous building was a wooden one which was taken down and the wood was repurposed. So lots and lots of square nails from small too big. But I've found it a great place to learn this new machine. Just something to think about when choosing a site to learn the beast at. I hope this helps some....
  3. Anytime as there is more than enough places for everyone to hunt πŸ‘
  4. Anytime just passing what I know on as a guy helped me lots of years ago!!! Just paying it forward thanks for checking it out.
  5. There was a post on by Tom on his site that he said something like if the target is very deep almost out of range that a silver dime might normally read 81-83 and if one is that deep a quirk the machine will give you a minus 81-83....
  6. Well as I get more and more time with this machine I'm starting to get to a point I can set it up for different sites. Found a new site and have been picking cherries and have had some nasty signals that ended up being silver and copper and nails all in one plug. Taking the Beast to a couple areas to hunt
  7. Hey Jeff or anyone how do you reset the MI-6? I also just read this in the manual. "Charge time Β± 3 hours - During charging the LED will flash 3 times - End of charging the LED 4 sec ON, 4 sec OFF (cycle)" So it looks like it might be stuck in that mode with the 4 sec on and off....???
  8. I don’t have my Deus anymore. So not sure what it would be paired to. It gives 3 short flashes when charging. Now it blinks and It stops flashing after about 4 days. Not sure if the battery is dead as it just flashes those long flashes instead of the little blimps the coils use to do.
  9. Hey everyone I made a short video showing what my MI-6 is doing. I know on the coils you get a very short flash. But on this probe the light is flashing seems to be very long. This just doesn't seem normal.. Any ideas?? There was audio but I think when it got upoaded I lost the audio. But you can see what it's doing..
  10. Thanks guys I took it apart and letting it dry out for a few days then put it back together. I did use some silicone grease on the o-ring and that big seal.. Put the cap back on with the guts removed and it floats at least in the sink. Gonna take the empty case with me next monday when we go diving again and see if it stays dry.
  11. Well when the Pinpointer is turned off the light flashes. I know the coils flash but I don't remember is the pinpointer did as well.
  12. I took my probe water hunting yesterday. I noticed it wasn't floating got out of the water which was about 6' deep. Took the cap off and a small amount of water came out. The cap was secure not sure where it could have gotten in from any ideas? Died it out and seems to work just fine. Is there a way to turn off the light when it's turned off? Also any suggestions on what to lubricate the seals with? Anyone have this happen and were you able to resolve the water issue? Thanks, Mike
  13. Thanks I'm on the US in Ohio so I'll have to look around and see if where I can find one of the 9" X35s. Maybe one day I'll be able to go over and hunt for some hammered silver.
  14. I appreciate everyone taking some time to help me out. I like the 11" X35 but some of the places I hunt have thick with iron and I was thinking reducing my foot print would be advantageous! A smaller coil just would be nice to have considering sometimes I drive a couple hours to get to some of these sites. From what I've read and seen the larger coils give you a little extra depth but not allot. So I'm not looking for depth just a coil that will benefit me when hunting in an iron infested areas. So from what I have seen from these posts the 9" X35 would be the choice.... Thanks πŸ™‚ Mike K
  15. I have the 11" X35 coil for my XP Deus and was thinking about adding a 9" coil. I'm pretty much a coin hunter wasn't sure if it would be better to have the 9" X35 or the HF 5"x9" Elliptical Coil. If it helps I also live in Ohio.... Thanks for any advice... Mike K
