  1. I also emailed AlgoForce, and got a response in a day! Even with the inundation of emails, Alex seems to be on top of responding to them all! I had some questions on water resistance, and salt air intrusion! So he is aware of those of us who intend to use the detector for beach use, and our concerns! Definitely a fast moving thread, and a well kept secret, as far as it's introduction!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  2. Between you, Phasetech, and a few others, we should have some videos soon !πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  3. That's one of the late signs of obsessive detecting! Telling yourself what your doing, than agreeing with yourself that your gonna do it!πŸ˜† Nice job again, and impressive haul! Love the big Franklin especially! Seem rare as hens teeth, as most have been hoovered up!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. Didn't see in the specs, but I'm guessing moisture resistant! Not waterproof, but hopefully salt air proof, as no IP rating! Already got two coils for it, one being the Sadie! Really want to see how it will do on the beaches, as that's where I'm already using my TDI SL! Wonder if my Miner Johns would work on it too!!πŸ€” Can't wait for some real testing to commence! Hurry up you all!!πŸ˜†πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘ BTW, did notice this in the Quick start page! A common disclaimer? Will it need a tinfoil hat at the beach?
  5. A sad commentary! Why isn't MineLab, and other companies getting involved to stop this ridiculous attack!?? And I could say the same for the USA, and other countries! It should be a part of their budget, to promote detecting with the powers that be!! Everyone sign the petition, and get the word out!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  6. I just always preferred the umax units for ease of use and weight! I compare the lightness to the now very popular D2! Tesoro was ahead of their time for many things, but obviously, nothing is static in electronics, as life! πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  7. If it came out of the salt looking that good, I'd agree that the break could have been a repair/resize with some lesser metals! I don't see any other copper type corrosion anywhere else on the ring! That's a heart stopper when first seen moment! Hope it's all real!!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. Simon, Here's a few suggestions for those conditions, depending on your budget, and energy level!πŸ˜πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  9. Wonder if it would work on a TDI SL?πŸ‘
  10. I was lucky enough to get this nice LED display for my office last year! Always loved the logo! A tribute to KenπŸ™πŸ‘
  11. One more reason to keep using my Whites detectors! RIP Ken!πŸ™
  12. Cool! πŸ‘ I'll take either one to go, for my Tdi sl! Just gotta bring the $$$πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. Hate to say it, but another analogy would be; A bunch of old hens that peck their "food" to pieces! We can be a tough bunch either way!πŸ˜†πŸ‘πŸ‘
  14. I agree with Simon on technical videos over detecting fluff! Speaking of some technical video'sπŸ€”, anyone watch our Simon's videos??πŸ˜πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  15. Hit the nail on the head!πŸ‘ A new subject heading is the way to approach this, and broaden the discussion! Not trading "barbs" about it, even though they were tame! Steve has general rules in place for "our" benefit! And he has freely admitted that he ain't perfect, and open to suggestions for improving the format! He's not trying to be difficult, or bully anyone on his forum! On more than one occasion, we have gone off subject, being silly, etc.. and he has left us alone, and/or joined in too! But when people seem to get their "feeling" hurt, or get nasty with another, he and/or Chase will step in with varying degrees of response; sometimes for everyone to be aware of, or sometimes through a PM! I think it's as good a system; or better, than anything else out there! JMOπŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  16. Roger, I have the camo one, most likely from the same company! It works fine for what it is; more of a scratch and dent cover than anything! Closest thing you are gonna find is either the waterproof version of the detector in the clear plastic case (Tdi Bh), which I believe is good to 100ft! Or a good old large freezer ziplock! Also a plastic grocery bag works fairly well, for rain and dust etc. And adjusting the knobs! It ain't pretty, but does the job, and is cheap protection!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. I took the liberty! Now all is right in the world!πŸ˜πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  18. And that's why I'm using Whites and Tesoro's at the beach! Still affordable and functional! Try and tell schoolofhardNox not to use a PI at the beach; he's a beast; and hugely successful in getting past the iron (cuz he digs it all out of the way intentionallyπŸ˜†), to get to the good stuff! GPX 5000πŸ€”, I'm not worthy yet!!🀣 My location is somewhat unique; (The Treasure Coast) as I'm not only looking for gold with my PI, but also most other metals! And while my Nox; and others, have their place here! I need the most affordable, deepest machines for the black sand and salt, that are available, when hunting for artifacts, especially after a big storm! That's my modded Tdi SL, and Tesoro Sandshark currently! (Jmo) Steve was just pointing out an observation, and in his defense, it's all in the title of this post! It appears to me that HP knows what he is looking for, and though limited; as has been pointed out, will find a suitable replacement! No one is looking to slight or insult anyone here; especially Steve! And it can happen easily sometimes as we are only reading text, and not hearing or seeing the other person's actual meaning! He's "corrected?" me on occasion, and i don't take it personally! After all, it's his forum, and it's still only metal detecting!!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  19. Welcome to the forum Stephant, The IP rating of the 700 is IP68! This is one "definition" written for that rating! So this is a guideline to be aware of, when/if you get in the water!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  20. I think there is still plenty of room for a waterproof PI in the marketplace, as Steve pointed out with the lack therein of! As someone who has both waterproof and non, I can tell you that I am much more relaxed using the waterproof versions at the tide line, and shallow surf! Especially when the surf is big, as that is when and where many of the items found are being dragged to, or churned up! I've been caught off guard with a rouge wave on more than one occasion, or stepped in a bowl, or off a shelf, with some depth! So many of the niches have been filled in other parts of the market; and diminishing finds, that any company without at least one saltwater worthy beast, should consider adding one to their lineup! There are large numbers of beach/surf hunters out there to support such a move! Jmo! Good luck πŸ€ in the replacement hunt for your Sand Shark! But don't trash it, as the parts are still worth some cash!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. I know of one or two on the forum that may have a Seahunter for sale, or possibly a Sand Shark!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  22. I beg to differ, a gold coin will trump any silver you've found so far! (Jmo) And they hold up better in anyone's soil conditions! Next year, I predict you will find one!πŸ₯‡πŸ˜‰πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  23. Just ran out of likes Bob, so gotta congratulate you more formally on the grand slam "triple"! I've been saying all along that you have more great stuff near your house to find yet! Still think there is more silver, and something gold waiting in the wings! And yeah, still think you got a few more hunts left in you before New Years! Awsome Christmas finds!!πŸŽ‰πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  24. So, may be a bit off subject, but I haven't really seen (may have missed) any real reviews on the Axiom at the beach for gold! Steve, Garry, or anyone done any real hunting with it at the salt beaches? Don't like to watch "reviews"πŸ™„ on YouTube! Rather hear from some trusted sources! Currently using my TDI SL with Miner Johns coil for beach duty! And my temperamental Nox 800!πŸ‘πŸ‘
  25. Nice work anyway HN, I feel your beach anguish down here on the Treasure Coast! Almost same conditions and results on the beaches, minus any coins🀯! Four beaches this week (two today)! Lots of big waves, little erosion, and very few targets; even trash was almost nill! And all hunts with the PI (TDI SL)! Sad, as I haven't experienced it so bare of targets since I moved up here two years ago! Only relative bright side was an older ball field inland that produced some 60's-70's coins and a small 10k, and tiny diamonds? ring! Very little sand movement considering all the "weather" we've had! Love the right facing eagle on the button, I hope it cleans up well, and the site has more to come!!πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ‘ BTW, forgot to add that I noticed the artistic flare creeping back into your trash displays!πŸ€” And 2023 ain't over yet, maybe time to squeeze in another hunt or three!!πŸŒ²πŸŽ…πŸ‘πŸ‘
