Excellent history bigtim!!, Thank you!! I'm sorry for your brother's loss! I'm sure he's is right along with you, when you detect! ð I love TN, and it's on mine and my wife's short list for places to move too! Been all around the state, and always enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to your posts, and experiences! Welcome Again!ðð

Equinox / Vanquish Iron Bias " Bug "
Joe D. replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
I think much depends on where you are detecting! I'm not new at this, but far from a seasoned pro! I don't get access to old areas, because there really aren't any here! If you don't dig the clad and trash, it will be rare here, to find a "prize" target! Contrary to popular belief, beach and water detecting has it's limitations; here in "paradise"?!ðĪŊ !! So you have to use alternative locations,( ie, not old), other than the beaches to keep up the skills! Here we get 180° area to search! Many of you have 360°! Not complaining, just the way it is! Moving not an option; yet!!ðð -

Time To Clean Your Coins And Cash In!
Joe D. replied to Againstmywill's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Simon, We have many "bad actors" that put skimmers on the gas pumps to steal your c/c info, than run up a tab till card is locked, or canceled!ðĪŽ ðð -

Many Silver Finds Over The Years
Joe D. replied to geof_junk's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Wow, that is alot of nice finds! Glad to see that you have them protected! Are the coin holders non-reactive?? Some of the older "protective" holders reacted badly with the metals, and ruined many coins!! (pressboard and plastic!) ðð -
No problem 57', Glad to be of service! Find some more!! Good Luck!ðð

How old is your house! Did you detect where the oak tree uprooted?? That bell looks like a crotal bell! All nice finds! Wish my "older" areas weren't under concrete and asphalt!ðð -
Equinox 800 Ground Balance Factory Problem
Joe D. replied to Walter S. Fowler's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
I feel your pain Walter, They have had mine about 3 weeks now, and i have heard nothing! Thankfully though, it's so hot out now, i probably wouldn't be using it anyway! Unless we get a tropical storm, or hurricane! In that case, it better be here for that!!!ðð -
If that's a yard sale; clear the way!!! ðĪŊðð

CTX 4040 Or Equinox 1000... Or Both?
Joe D. replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
Ok, you all win!! I'm all bruised up from being beaten with the "no speaker" request! I will just seal mine up! Talk about peer pressure!! ðĪĢðð -
CTX 4040 Or Equinox 1000... Or Both?
Joe D. replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
Yes Steve, you are the poster child for an Amateur Tourist Detectorist!!!! ðĪĢðð ð Your a one off!! I'll give you a pass!! ðĪĢ I think the only "dead silence" i will ever get to experence, is when I'm actually dead!ððð -
CTX 4040 Or Equinox 1000... Or Both?
Joe D. replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
Has anyone mentioned a wider coil selection? Besides the obvious waterproof issue, do we really need an external speaker built in the unit any longer? If that would help the depth rating, I'm all for it! Everyone i see with a detector In use NEVER use the external speaker! (Except amateur tourists) No one hunting near people, wants them to hear every signal hit! Not to mention that the weak signals will go mostly unheard without headphones!ðð -
My Last Hunt
Joe D. replied to The Seeker's topic in First Texas - Bounty Hunter, Fisher & Teknetics
Still nice finds Seeker! Being a "beta tester" definitely has it's downside! But your unit will make the next one's better! I'm sure you won't have to wait as long for your AQ, as I am for the Nox repair!!ðð -
Awesome coin's Phoenix, Looks like you dialed in the Nox just right! Good luck on the next hunt!ðð

Nice looking scoop! Great price! Good luck with it!!ðð
