  1. Cricket bite??😳 What kind of crickets do You have?
  2. I don't have the 15 yet! But i guess I'm going to have to cave! I was really hoping for some more coil choices! But i think that i (we) have no hope of seeing that happen! What scoops are you using for wet, dry, and water?? I've been using my TRex for all!👍👍
  3. Looks to be a claddagh ring! Need a better pic!!👍👍 (Damn, I'm already out of likes today!!)😂
  4. Man, I'm surprised you didn't strike oil with that hole!!😂 Next one will be a Rolex!👍👍
  5. I fully agree with all of the above!! We are not doing the engineers; whom i think we all very much appreciate their interaction with us; any favors, by not being honest with the good and bad, for the limited!! I know i have been following it's introduction closely, as i would very much like the next generation model! But it must preform in moving salt water in S.Florida, to excel over other salt water preformers, for me! I think Rick and Alexandre respect the opinions and issues brought to their attention by the "testers"! And i believe everyone on this forum has been respectful of them! I look forward to both sides, in this exchange, and want to see the AQ as a steller example of how to develop a great detector, with the honest and respectful feedback from the users! Thank's to all, working on making this a great machine!👍👍
  6. Well, i guess you two didn't leave anything else to add for the rest of us!! It's all good though!! I enjoyed the back and forth!! Like a good tennis match!!🎾 🤝 🤣😂 👍👍
  7. Ahhh, the things we will endure for the sake of the hunt! May i suggest a little vicks ointment under the nose next time!! Works great!! Trust me, i know from experience!!😷 💩🙀 🤣 👍👍
  8. Welcome Rob, Nice historic town you got there! With the lumber, and rail line, looks like there should be some good stuff to find there! If you get the time, put that detector to work! Look forward to some more posts! Beware the platypus!! Good Luck!!👍👍
  9. It really does sound like your being "one" with the area you hunt! There are those i know of on the Treasure Coast that are like that! They just know when and where the fleet treasure is; and what it takes to find it! And it's more than just knowing the wreck locations! That is common knowledge here! Beach dynamics, and wind play a huge part! I know of a few places where there is literally treasure under my feet, but not only is it impossible to get to without very expensive equipment, but also not legal due to treasure leases! Keep up the finds, and the stories! Love to hear about your successes, and experiences!👍👍
  10. Welcome to the forum Ziessen, Those are solid detectors GB and Chase mentioned! I think you can be set up with a good package deal (if you need everything), with one of those detectors (not the 800) and a bag, headphones, digging tool, a pinpointer, and a few extras, for that $1000 pricepoint! Shop around the sites, after you zero in on your detector! Or someone may point you in the right direction for a deal! Read, and ask question's on the forum! (There free) If you want to be more specific after some research! Ask away!! Good Luck!!👍👍
  11. Who say's detecting is a dying hobby??? Which one of you young guy's are going to catch a ride on one of Elon Musk's rocket's!! To go detecting on the Moon, or Mars!!🚀 I'll be there with you in spirit!! 👍👍
  12. Hey Mitch, One more suggestion! If you have the room in your boots, buy some thinner neoprene booties, put one on at a time, slather with a good grade of silicone. Slide your foot in the boot! Keep on for awile till silicone sets up in the position that is comfortable! Repeat with other boot! Permanent insert!! That should last quite a while! 👍👍
  13. George, All i want to know is did you leave any trash for the next guy to detect?🤣 Maybe you should be towing a big bar magnet with you to save digging all the shallow iron!👍👍
  14. Nice variety of stuff dog!! As alway's, there is alway's something interesting to find!! With, or without a detector!! Great job!! 👍👍
  15. Wow, For a second there, i thought i missed some new kind of hybrid species appearance!! While i was out of Florida this week!!! 🐍🐊🤣🤣 👍👍
  16. Just remember Mel Fisher's favorite saying..... "Today's The Day"!! That's what i tell myself, everytime i detect!! Keeps me going, along with the forum, through those "lean" hunts!!👍👍
  17. And that's how "Silver Surfer Shovels" of NZ were born......🤣👍👍
  18. Hello all, I'm currently up in Georgia working on family property, getting ready for hunting season!🦌 I'm with my son and dad, so no time to detect this trip! But there's always time to hunt for flint and arrowheads! Most all the fields are planted now, so hunting areas are limited to washes, and recently cleared areas! Finishing up work this morning, i did some scouting in an area cleared last winter! Had some rains since than, so figured it may have exposed something! We found some knapped piece's yesterday! And were back there again! My son had scouted the area, but missed a keeper! It's tough to find one that has not been broken! But this one was small enough to be intact! It was laying on top of the ground, shining in the sun! My first intact small arrowhead! Still have more work, and sight hunting to do! Joe D.👍👍
  19. Reminds me a lot of the "One Ring", from "Lord of the Rings"!! Related script, but in affordable copper! Is it a kid size ring?? Also, i think i remember Phrunt found a gold (reproduction) version of this one (below) in NZ! Good Luck! Cool ring!!👍👍
  20. Hey MN, Glad to have you! Great place to learn, and share experiences! Keep us posted!👍👍
  21. Wow, you definitely saved a few people a trip to the ER! Great job! May the good deed be rewarded with gold!👍👍
  22. Hey Mitchel, In the past, i have found that you have to rough up the surrounding rubber of the hole or rip to get good adhesion! Than apply a patch and glue with good overlap! A lot like patching a tire! With Shoe Goo, E6000, or 100% silicone! Than recoat, covering the patch and surrounding area again! If you can apply a patch inside and outside, sandwiching the problem area, all the better! If that doesn't work, maybe a neoprene diving boot (no metal, and has good tread) would hold up better! Mine were about $40-50, (above the ankle) and have held up well so far!👍👍
  23. The right buyer, or a good jeweler. Will have it reset with stones of their liking! But a comparison picture to go with it couldn't hurt! Have an appraisal, maybe a reputable jeweler that deals in antique jewelry can identify the maker by workmanship alone! I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know! Just thinking out loud!! No offense! Love the stuff you find!!👍👍
