Have you tried pitch? lve watched paystreaks videos on YouTube he’s done with 100% blacksand with pitch mode. Worked great! Other modes like diving or 4 tones may have issues.

Deus 2 Legend Equinox 800 Wild Target Testing
Denny replied to Jeff McClendon's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Thanks jeff I’m surprised the D2 picked up only 31 targets in your test. Do you see any difference in performance after updates.- 31 replies

Good write up. The test should have been done with the D2 using the 11 inch coil.- 31 replies

Help Finding Places To Detect
Denny replied to Jack992007's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I remember a park in the rough part of Stockton some of us used to call, Wino Cap Park. Many old seated, barbers were pulled out of the ground with rusted bottle caps. I would never hunt there when dark. -
I’ve watched paystreaks videos on the Deus2 and I think the D2 worked fine at his home before he did updates after version 6. He kept complaining he didn’t like the updates. He also hunts too fast and goes over the same ground digging up what he missed.

Got that info off another deus forum who had the same issue.

Help Finding Places To Detect
Denny replied to Jack992007's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
There are no free answers. You will have to do some research yourself or find a buddy who metal detects. -
If it were a counterfeit die why would they cut off the stamp part of the die? Wouldn’t it be easier to just toss it out. The U.S. mint would cut off the die stamp and destroy it. Yes maybe this one slipped by. The US mint sells dies without the stamp they would cut that off and sell the rest of the die to the public. denny

No not backwards.

It’s a bit wider than a V nickel. I don’t think it’s plated.

Dug this find at the old park on Sunday. I.D. at 74, 9-10 inches deep with the Deus 2. Anyone know what it is. What kind of metal is it. Thanks

I’ve Been Converted From 3 Tones To Square Pitch
Denny replied to ColonelDan's topic in XP Deus II Forum
I’ve been using pitch square tones in beach program for turf hunting. Notch and bottle caps at zero, Magnetic ground on accept and salt on 7 or lower. Works well more stable in bad ground. Better than park program. -
XP Deus 2 Vs Equinox, Summarized
Denny replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I didn’t say it was a complaint. It was a smart marketing move by Minelab to get their machine into the hands of new users. They could have sold them for $1400. -
XP Deus 2 Vs Equinox, Summarized
Denny replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
The Minelab equinox too low priced. They sold thousands of them to hook users to the brand. I bet when minelab releases their newer model it wouldn’t be at a cheap price. -
XP Deus 2 And 9in. Coil ~100 Hours Of Use Impressions
Denny replied to Calmark's topic in XP Deus II Forum
I like the strap it’s easier to pick up the detector when it’s on the ground. Clothing bunching up is the only issue during the cold months. -
Original owner was ripped off bought a 18k engagement ring with fake center stone.

Another Barber Dime From The Turf
Denny replied to Denny's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Thanks for the tip. The only open area to hunt is the grassy turf area. The dry mineralized ground has lowered the visual ID to the mid 80s on the barber dime should be high 80s -90 on the Deus2. Targets getting slim. -
This grassy area has given up many Barber dimes and now add another to the collection.😀1908s Barber Dime. 6 inches deep, ID 85-86, park program on the Deus2. Glad it wasn’t a pesky Rosie I’ve only dug up 2 of them at this area and only silver coin from the 40s was a Mercury Dime. Ground was soft a month ago now it’s hard diggin and temperature today was around 93 degrees I quit after 2 and a half hours. Gonna have to get out a little earlier. Bottom pic is where some of the silver coins may have come from. Denny

I hunt parks, beach and water so I need a coil that’s going to get me the most depth so I chose the 11 inch coil. I feel I’ll be going backwards if I chose the 9 inch.
