Congrats on a nice-looking nugget. Really like the bits of quartz still in it.
Can’t wait to use the Deus2 in the water.

I assume Deep HC ?
#12 Beach P program. I’ve been using this program the past 4 outings on the turf 17 hours total. 3 hours using relic program at the woodsville settlement dug up a few pistol balls there. Never did any updates.

Standing Liberty and Barbers, except for the V nickel have eluded me as well so far. Got a Walker and two seateds after a year of hunting. Most odd is I have never dug a silver Roosevelt dime. 🤔 I've dug more Spanish silver than anything in the 18/1900s. Nice coin! 👍
You’ll find a barber or standing liberty quarter soon.
I hate them pesky Rosies prefer something older. I’ve only dug up 2 rosies at the patch of grass I’ve been hunting for over 10 years. -

That’s an interesting series of ID#s. Is this indicative of where older silver dimes will fall or because it was on edge?
My 1887s seated dime I’d 88-90. The barber dime was 81-83-88. I believe it was on edge because of the lower numbers. Ground here in central California is bad ground I.d. is 92.

Very nice! 👍
Barbers of any kind are so RARE in my parts, and Seated forget it! I just got news of a street tear up coming up next month in a mid 1800s area. Hoping to I’ll find some Barbers & Seated.CONGRATS!
Aaron
That’s exciting news. You may also find a gold or bust coin.

Hit the grassy area for 5 hours on Sunday tried hard to find another gold nugget didn’t happen but manage to dig up a 1900 barber dime. I’d 82-83-88 one way and 81-82 the other. I believe the coin was on edge 4-5 inches deep one of the reasons I bought the D2. Barber coin not corroded like many this one is just worn down from use.

Dang, he’s going to have to go way back to the drawing board. You guys are asking for everything to change but the name, lol. I only have three suggestions .
1. change the tones.
2. change the warranty length along with the depth rating and waterproofing.
3. updatable
I don’t like the name. Tarsacci too close to the brand Gucci. Isn’t the double CC spelled in the word tarsacci on the detector the same as Gucci. Isn’t that a trademark for Gucci.

It was 87.
My ground I.D. is 92 on the Deus2. I’m able to pull coins out of the ground 7 inches.
Your ground looks dry a good rain should help with targets.

Wow, what a nice find, in a park of all places. I TRY to find nuggets like that frequently out on my hikes here in CA, and here you do it without even trying! Time to find yourself a nice gold chain to wear that nugget on with pride! Good luck.
I don’t wear jewelry so I’ll put it in my display of finds.

A friend of mine found a gold nugget in a city park, a place a gold nugget should never have been, he won the Minelab find of the month competition with it, you can see the story here
https://www.minelab.com/community/success-stories/city-park-surprise
It just goes to show you just never know what you'll unearth.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes most likely dropped. I don’t think this is a recent drop looks like it was in the ground for years.

What a score, that's an incredibly weird find! Certainly unlikely to be naturally in that spot in topsoil so someones likely lost it.

Perfect I bet you were a little surprised. Do you remember what the VID was on that nugget?
strick
Nugget ID 66 on the D2.
Yes I was surprised. I expected coins or jewelry but not a gold nugget. I used beach sens program with square and pitch tones, salt on 7. Park program seems a bit weak.-

Really cool….CONGRATS 👍
I tried the tarsacci a few times at this patch of grass it did ok with old coins but the D2 is better on land.

Hit the grassy area this morning in hopes of finding another seated dime didn’t happen but did find a 5.1 gram gold nugget a little smaller than a dime. No discoloration it came out of the ground looking like in the pic.
ID at 66 on the D2 at 6 inches deep. Also dug up a wheatie and. V- Nickel.Denny

I use #12 beach P program and relic program for parks. Seems deeper than deep HC and general sens.

I don't feel so bad now that I haven't updated. I'm not exactly a computer guy so doing the workaround on my Mac left me frustrated and when I went to my school to get my work computer it wouldn't let me download anything as I don't have administrator rights so until I can find a Windows machine to use I'm sticking with 0.6 which has done me well so far. I hope the new update works for those who are able to use it.
I don’t have a computer so I can’t do a update. For now I just use 0.6 version.
Working fine for me.-

I mentioned in another thread that a find like this leaves a half-full, half-empty feeling. It's great finding a key date. But also you realize if the ground hadn't been so nasty to it you would have a coin worth several hundred dollars. California is the Mother Lode of scarce and rare -S mint coins, but Mother Nature sometimes gets into a fight with her.
GB you are 100% correct.
I was offered $100 for the 1923s SLQ from the coin shop at the time, I refused. I would have taken $200 if offered.
Every coin I dig up I always check for rarity and check realized prices from auction houses like eBay for rare ones.denny

Wow Denny, that place is almost as rough as my brackish river. Silver coins might be somewhat preserved by a layer of black crud that forms on them, but you have to get it all off.🤬 Lottta chemical action going on there! Pennies and nickels here don't stand a chance, the IHP's come up looking like gold.
Good on you for not giving much info. 👍 Beautiful standing, that's one of the coins I haven't dug yet.
Nickles , wheates and IHP take a beating at this particular spot I hunt. I wish they didn’t.
Keep at it a SLQ will show up when you least expect it.

So longitude and latitude coordinates are probably out of the question.
Nice little seated, where you able to clean it up at all?
I cleaned it with soap and water before the pic. Couldn’t see a date or mintmark when I dug it out of the hole.

Nice 1895-O
Better not to clean and leave as is. To the right collector you may get $350-400.
