  1. I don’t have a computer so I can’t do a update. For now I just use 0.6 version. Working fine for me.
  2. GB you are 100% correct. I was offered $100 for the 1923s SLQ from the coin shop at the time, I refused. I would have taken $200 if offered. Every coin I dig up I always check for rarity and check realized prices from auction houses like eBay for rare ones. denny
  3. Nickles , wheates and IHP take a beating at this particular spot I hunt. I wish they didn’t. Keep at it a SLQ will show up when you least expect it.
  4. I cleaned it with soap and water before the pic. Couldn’t see a date or mintmark when I dug it out of the hole.
  5. Yes many come out of the ground that way. Here’s a key date SLQ I dug up in the same area years ago that was corroded but still has good detail.
  6. Hi GB Last night did a little more cleaning and turns out to be a 1887s not 67s. So even more worthless. Many of the older silver coins I’ve dug at this small grassy area here in California are pitted by chemicals over the years. The area dates back to 1850’s. I’m hoping a gold coin will surface. I used beach program in pitch tones and square sounds with salt sens 1 and magnetic reject on off. Going to try relic program next. I find general program a bit weak. denny
  7. Awesome find! Sometimes a totlot will surprise you with a piece of jewelry not for a kid.
  8. Nice. Still waiting for my first gold with the D2. I’m hoping for a gold coin.
  9. The gold I find marked MEX is usually from the swapmeet/ flea market not saying yours is. Nice find!
  10. Thanks, I was really surprised a seated popped out of the hole. I haven’t found one in 10 years. The D2 is a fantastic detector I like it better than the tarsacci.
  11. I keep this area secret don’t want a lot of hunters digging up the place. I will tell you the area dates back to 1850’s.
  12. First time out with the D2 at the patch of grass I’ve found many mercs, barbers and a few seated. Right off the bat dug up a 1920s wheates at 7 inches minutes later dug a 1916s buffalo at 6 inches then 3 feet away scored a environmentally damaged 1867s seated dime😁at 6 inches my 5th seated coin from this patch of grass. These coins found today must have been on edge I’ve hit this area with the Minelab explorer, CTX, ATX and the tarsacci. I used #12 beach program with pitch tones, square sounds on the DEUS2. denny
  13. I was using stock coil. The machine will power off then back on while in use. Doesn’t happen often.
  14. I’ve tried a pair of lightweight headphones that wrap around the back of your neck and still had music coming from the transmission tower. I don’t think it’s the headphones. I’ve asked my buddy Paul to try his tarsacci at this park but has been busy. denny
  15. Hi Carolina The reset issue on the tarsacci happened twice at a old settlement and a few times at the dried up river. Both these areas are away from a transmission tower. At the dry river the tarsacci seemed to reset when I’m around large pieces of metal junk you could hear it cut off and at the old settlement there was no large metal machine just reset itself twice in one day. Wasn’t detecting in hot weather either. It doesn’t happen often but if it gets worse I’ll send it in to Dimitar. He’s not far from where I live. The not being able to power off was more an issue for me but that has been corrected. denny
  16. I’ve had 3 issues with the MDT. 1) MDT will reset by itself some settings will remain. 2) crosstalk. Music coming through headphones from near by radio station in downtown park. 3) cannot get MDT to turn off Sent machine to Dimitar and he didn’t find anything wrong so he replaced the touch pad. Still have issues with music through headphones and resetting. My warranty is now expired. I’ve never dunked it in water, used in hot weather or left in a hot car. It was will taken care of. I’ve. I still use it as my main detector because it is so light. denny
  17. Yes I found using mixed mode becomes very noisy in iron compared to disc mode. I don’t like to switch modes when trying to master one. But I will use disc/salt mode if I have to.
  18. I believe gold earring was not detected as it was most likely open. I tested a 1 gram gold earring open with the MDT and was not able to detect it. I’ve found gold jewelry in iron a few times before just by digging out the iron. Yes stones may be real. Congrats
  19. Do your watehunting in the evening hours when beach is emptying out.
  20. How many of MDT users like the tones of disc mode? I don’t like it. It sounds like a toy. Mixed mode is what I use. Tarsacci MDT 8000 control panel and LCD display
  21. I tried this on the CTX open screen and it worked. I used 4 pieces of aluminum foil a little bigger than 1 inch and stacked the on top of the nickel. I didn’t test to see if it will hit on real small gold. It even worked on the ATX when I bumped up the discrimination to max. Loss sensitivity to tiny gold though.
  22. Impressive but I will never notch out a 6-7. I’m a gold jewelry hunter.
  23. Haven’t had a chance to do a comparison between the two.
  24. Anybody else have any luck using the MDT. At parks? It’s a deep machine. I haven’t had too much luck at parks with the MDT, the CTX did a very good job.
