Got mine end of October. So far happy with it. Have used once on beach in wet and dry sand but a bit cold for water at this time of year...Taken it out to a few fields. Also satisfied. Don't have headphones for it yet but I'll get some soon. I agree defo best detector under 3 bills. So many great features. I have an ace 300 and a few others in my arsenal but none with the range of features the simplex has...

There are some russian ones available on ebay for under $20 I think. With glare shields or not attached in different camo colors...or just make one ourselves.

I read somewhere that the nokta headphones are 2.4ghz and possibly would pair with other wireless 2.4ghz headphones...I found a pair of wireless waterproof 2.4ghz earbuds on ebay for $15...gonna see if they can pair with my nokta simplex...might work. If not I'll just pair them with my phone...and maybe bite the bulley and drop $100 for the green ones. I remember seeing a youtube video where a guy bagged his headphones in double wrapped ziplocs to essentially make wireless waterproof headphones so itcould be done. Also another youtuber shows how the control box on the simplex can unscrew from the handle... meaning it could be used on a different shaft.
