And yes the Kangaroo Scrotum Pouches are real, from real Kangaroos harvested under license from the Australian government.  They are so real they are illegal to possess in California, because some nitwit environmentalists convinced the legislature in California that Kangaroos are endangered.  Kangaroo mice are endangered, not Kangaroos.  (California, the land of fruits and nuts.  Streets full of homeless and feces.)  What a terrible fate for a beautiful state.

Best Wishes for a great New Year,

Bought a couple of these years ago,  mine went walkabout.  Gave one to my dad, he's 86 now and uses it every day for his change... we're in CA... guess I'm gonna break the news to him. Can't afford to bail him out of jail!

Hello, brand new to the hobby, first post. So I ordered and received my 600 from Kellyco the other day. After using it for a bit I realized the backlight has many levels of adjustment. I turned it over and saw the “Equinox 800” sticker on the shaft. It does not have the gold mode or 20 & 40 kHz single frequency modes.  So it’s like they ran of 600’s, and just grabbed an 800 and disabled the 800 features manually but left the multi backlight enabled. I haven’t checked any other 600/800 features. Has anyone else seen this?
    Thank you.

I could be wrong here, only had my 800 a couple weeks.  But have read and watched everything I can find on the NOX.  I believe the latest update to the series gave the 600 the multi back lighting option.

Welcome to the forum.  You can do it either way.  Increase 800 volume to max and then adjust headphone volume or just use the default master volume setting on the 800 and crank the headphones.  Just play with it and see what works best for you.  Either way you should be able to make it plenty loud.

Thanks, figured I was overthinking it.

  4. Just Getting back into the hobby, and, I've never had headsets.  Not that I wouldn't have worn them, but my kids were small and usually along, so I never even gave it a thought.

Skip forward 20 years. I've got a new Nox 800, and, the manual says that the headset volume is independent of the machine,  and then stops.

Do you just adjust volume to comfortable?  Or is there an advantage of running the nox full volume,  adjust with headset?

    I may be overthinking this.
