    ....

These are the sort of reasons I'm more interested in the Deus, money isn't a factor ...

The Deus2 is a good choice as you are a coin hunter , gold prospector and a beach hunter  .  Then you will certainly use it very often in NZ ...

For me it is a little different , I am a coin/relic hunter I wont use the D2 gold and beach modes then the Deus1 is still an excellent performer for me . btw I did an outing yesterday evening in a field with it + 11X6 elliptical HF coil,  it is a beast in irons and I have no plans to sell my D1 , I keep it ... 🙂

However I plan to order later a D2 Lite that I will use when I need more depth , when searching deep coins in woods or forests for example.  Of course I will use it for iron infested sites too in addtion to the D1 HF

Looking fwd for your reports with the Deus2 in NZ  ... 🙂

I fixed that for you, the Legend is also IP68 certified (although to less depth) 😉 ...

thank you , update of my prev post done below  :

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly the Deus2 outperforms the competition regarding the weight/detection cumfort. Equinox 1.26kg , Legend 1,4kg ? , Deus2 0.75kg .  And the D2 seems to be excellent in the iron trash too . Adding to this the 20m IP68 protection ... At least 3 good reasons to have a D2 ...

Performance wise, probably not, though the chain demo was impressive.  XP does make a coverage coil larger than the 11".  I think the only difference is 1.5 lbs less wear and tear on your swing arm.

The only downside I see for the D2 is the lack of a small coil like the Deus1 11X6 elliptical HF . But as XP has already the mold it wont be long before they release one for the D2 ...

Hello, the xp orx hf head is charging for hours, the light is on constantly, it does small clippings in between, but as it is written in the manual, there is no flashing that indicates whether the charge is over. I would appreciate your help, thank you.

Yes perhaps a faulty USB charger , XP says in the manual that only certified chargers should be used . I already had a similar issue with a cheap charger , I had no more pb after using a certified one .

Look also at the USB charger intensity output , minimum is 1A as indicated in the manual . I currently use a 2.4A output charger look at the pic below,  it works very well . It is a pity that XP does not deliver a charger in the Deus/Orx packages btw ...

I like to watch Magus videos, although I don't understand what he says 😁.  He usually makes depth videos on the beach with the detectors that he uses.  Surely it will soon with the deus II.  He wears wooden splints with a wedding band tied on the end with tape.  He uses several at different depths.  But he gives me the impression that he will not reach the equinox

Look at  the video at 19:05 , magus says that he did a depth test with a Deus2 on a coin at 30cm ( 12inches )  in salt water saturated sand and the Deus2 hits the coin . From my own bed tests the Equinox has similar depth results ( 30i on a coin  )

  6. Excellent video , I know magus,  this guy is serious and very experimented . And he is a beach specialist . 100 coins found during this outing ... His conclusion : the Deus2 is a very good beach detector .  Very good news for the beach hunters ... 🙂 🙂

After some thought, If I decide to get the new Deus, I think I’d be seriously handicapped without the remote. Thanks for your reply, though. I have a preorder on the Legend, but can change if I decide soon.

For info they are already selling Deus2 parts separately over here . The Deus2 RC at 750e. At the moment they still dont sell Deus2 coils separately but they will probably do it very soon .

    I plan to buy a Deus2 RC (750e ) plus a Deus2 9" coil ( 400e? ) , total 1150e  , instead of 1600e for the full version.

I already have  a Deus shaft . I dont need wireless headphones as long as I have the RC. I will use my Deus2 with wired headphones connected to the RC , with the RC at the belt or in my pocket

I’ve never owned a deus, but I’ve pre-ordered a deus II.  Does the new deus use the same clip?   Will it be a problem?

No it is not a pb . You just need to be careful when you put the clip on the coil + cover , and check that the charging led is activated thats all . And yes the butterfly clip is a little fragile and may break after a few years but it is a cheap component very easy to replace. If there was a major issue with this charging system XP would have changed it , so nothing to worry about to my opinion ..

  9. I like this video , the first time that I hear the Deus2 sounds in the field . For me the most interesting part of the video is at 7.17 when hearing the Deus2 tones .  The SQUARE fluty tones are fast , faster than the ones you get with the australian brand to my opinion . I like them because there are softer than the PWM ( or Deus1 ) "classical" tones.

Yes I know I should not compare the Deus2 with an other brand in the XP forum , but I couldnt resist ...  🙂  🙂

  10. I  just watched the video. Excellent and professional . It is confirmed that a Deus2 "lite" version will be available , called Deus2 WS6 Master. Look at the end of the video at 8:20 .

I dont know why they didnt simply called it Deus2 Lite btw  ... I could be interested by this version as it will be cheaper than the full version as I dont really need the control box for my kind of hunting ...

IMO, the Rutus Atrex is ahead of the game.  The ability to change software in the field via an app is Star Trek esque. It broadens a hunter's options. Too bad they aren't in the US. I really wish they had larger financial support. Atrex in a waterproof housing would be a huge success, I think.

Not ahead of the game in terms of lightness . A Rutus Atrex weights 1,6kg from what I have read in this forum . This is more than twice a Deus ( 750/800g with the CB in the pocket ). More than an Apex at 1.2kg.

It is a pity because I like the Atrex audio even I ve never used one . If they want to sell more detectors they should pay attention to this ergonomy aspect and lighten their machines .

Might explain the cheaper US pricing.....

Economists in Turkey have been put on alert after the nation’s currency plunged an incredible 15 per cent in its second-worst day on record.

The Lira, which is now the worst-performing for any country in 2021, has shed 45 per cent of its value this year. Inflation has hit the Middle Eastern nation hardest in November, recording a near 26 per cent for the Lira since the beginning of last week.

    ...

Yes it looks like they have a bright economist at the head of Turkey with Erdogan ... 🙂 🙂  ... Oops am going off topic .. 🙂 ✌️
