It might be useful for some zombies then🤣. You never know what's your patience limit some days... I'm forced to leave the beach in a couple hours from now otherwise question time session is guaranteed 💀 And I'm late this morning too🤐😭

Which Of These 3 Coils For Underwater Work?
Skullgolddiver replied to Tony's topic in White's Metal Detectors
Thanks Tony! I'm waiting for some stuff to complete the lithium battery pack and some adjustments... The coil will be the last part of the job...I'm also looking for a sort of plastic anticut sheath to cover the entire coil's cable lenght..Colour can be the final touch for control box and coil too...I actually disgust that screaming yellow... I'm recently in love with Matt black and maybe this can be the new livery... Already done my Ctx with the same colour and it looks like a stealth plane🤩 -

And here it is...🤩 Now I only need to find a peaceful place and a bit of time to do the surgery operation 😁... Boosted Battery pack on the road too... I'll make a picture of finished work....Hopefully the next week... cheers all -

If in the future I'll be able to make again the swap work with my hands, probably this can be an option to evaluates...I actually don't know if the flat elites is really that thinner than other's profiles, but I still think to the floating behaviour underwater... I'm at a point to realize by myself the machine's structure to suit my needs...And I'm scared to say the least...Electronics is not properly what I chew everyday.. -

And You're right on this way to act. Consider the P.I. as a "B plan" on the beach...I only use it if facing blind research over a certain sand covered bottom in the water... Otherwise I still depends from my old Ctx to kill the easier exposed beauties fastly....😉 -

This was my preferred coil before being too tired of dealer's restrictions from Coiltek.. I don't even thought to call the Italian dealer due to the steep price! So I ended with an 8"Detech mono to swap it on the Tdi-Bh 12"dual field...Still waiting the shipment, cause the package is going around Europe with an incredible tour🙄... -

I think to hardwire it for a couple reasons...Not only for a watertight work, but even to avoid different coil's operations due to connector eventual resistance/capacitance/electrolysis phenomenons...Things that I'm not able to measure and master on the control box...Not yet at my level of electronics knowledge...I'll lose the option to change the coil in a fast way, but is not my primary target. I'm doing this thing for a noise reduction first and hopefully to reduce also delay a bit to "see"thin stuff eventually 😬 missed with forced settings I'm using. -
Impressive!Did You already tried the Detech coil?

Well...It is better for me to keep some privacy... The depth was almost at my head at that time...Consider that I'm 5ft

Believe me, there was nothing to hear... I cutted all the sinkers of this infested beach and my coil was useless this morning...I only checked the ring after I've seen the shine in the hole...Only lucky to pass from there.. However the yellow Koss are all but noisy.I use high pitch for low conductors.

It is summer and to stay till late with friends and childs drinking and roasting meat in the evening is a pleasure without doubts... After few hours however it is also time to go in the beach, in a hurry, early, before people start to fill the water and the search area... So even this morning, after a long stop due to some bad waves, I was trying to do my best and luckily I hitted a promising spot... I'm that kind of hunter that never trust all can be picked up, so even if I pulled last pieces from here when most of competition was already done for this area, I tried again, another time.. Keeping in mind that 99% of stuff was already vanished months ago, I pushed my patience only cause I've seen multiple rocks, hoping for a bit of movement on the bottom...Almost leaving the place, this is what happened today... (sorry for bad camera position over my mask)... All the best guys!

I'm considering to enlarge the coil ears drilling holes for a bigger stud. Even the White's original one doesn't thrill me. -

Mine too...Bought my today... Hopefully until the end of the month I'll try it after some extra care against leakage..Honestly I thinked to skip all the modifications needed to adapt another coil based for another machine. If is true that gpx coils can run on the Tdi, then should be fine. Also, the original coil tends to float...This will float...No difference but at least a smaller and better manouvrable one.In the worst case I'll make a stainless steel upper shaft💀 -
Garrett Apex Testing Video #1
Skullgolddiver replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Garrett Metal Detectors
You're right! And I also recognize to them one apparently little plus doing this...One can like or not their product, but for those that want it, from the first announced launch to the market landing time is fast! -
How can You keep it safe from wife's eyes?🤣🤣🤣
