  1. I finished my channel's intro footage, squeezing some of the last finds in less than two minutes... Hope you enjoy the atmosphere 🙃. Will be difficult to keep it updated constantly with all the work I'm next to start on dryland for water sessions improvement, but keep an eye on my diary now and then🔥 https://youtu.be/1kyGlM9-_do
  2. Thanks...I have forgotten to mention you too... Maybe the email address on the Fisherlab website is out of service, but You,Rick and Alexandre are actually the only Fisher's people I can talk with...At least here
  3. Reading this post, I'm happy to realize they are healthy in business and with solid plans for the future... Unluckily I'd say there's another problem for me actually not so little.Communication. I'm in Europe and if not for this forum, Steve, Alexandre and the information channel we have on this pages, it seem like the AQ never existed...I mean dealers, advertising, promotional activity...Nothing. Seriously?Minelab, Nokta and every other brand can do so much noise for the minimum release of a gadget and with a similar bomb ready to face the market all this silence overseas? I clearly asked to be part of the promotional agents for the Italian market and despite the dealer we have here, everything is so silent since before the lockdown time. Rick Kempf is the only one person I had the pleasure to deal with...I suppose He's a dealer... I just hope to never be in the need of assistance for my AQ...I just don't know how to keep a contact with the headquarter ant this thing scares me!
  4. I'm sorry for that. This is a retuning fact maybe. Not sure if caused by your particular salt environment or the Ats. Unluckily I'm destinated to wait for a long time before the AQ can be in my hands here in Italy🤬. I solved this thing with a smaller coil on the Tdi but was more due to the dual field coil, necessarily to remove for water hunting in really salty area like mine.
  5. Can I ask You something Deborah? Have You noticed in the spot where You hunt usually, some red clay after you dug a signal or visible hot rocks between the sand?🤔 I've had a similar conduct on my Tdi in a couple places..Despite of an higher delay and reduced gain, the machine still was sounding crazy without targets. The sound was so high pitched, to clearly misunderstand it with a signal. Just courious...
  6. And I'm looking for an ultrasonic cleaner to get the hard job done for all the old and the next less relevant pieces...Between my and my daughter I think there were almost 150bucks left without to check inside the trash...🤔Impressive🙄
  7. You're right! I found one only in over 15years...18K without colour doubts...
  8. Guys, I'm impressed of how much focus started to point the pulse delay in these days🤔... I just want to share my experience as a scuba diver/freediver that never hunts vertically: If you check the map, I'm in one of the few red areas with highest salt grams per liter... This thing not only explain how hard it is for me to keep stable my machines, but even to realize natural limits dictated by the field. When submerged in saltwater ANY machine Can react bad to the environment. Just for comparison, I've been in the process to evaluate dozens of alternatives in the last decade and finally realized that few are making the difference underwater. Did I mention the Excalibur? How stable it is?How sensitive to small bands and thin chains it is?How can You hunt in iron infested places without to lose speed and recovery? There's a well known detector accidentally used to pull up Spanish coins in Vero Beach:Minimum delay of 25uS😵think about it. I mean...We are in front of a monster, capable to double the depth performance and with tremendous amount of power too. I'm already impressed of a 15uS maximum level without too much bells. A certain coil speed is mandatory, a certain attitude to falsing is included in your experience luggage if You're oriented to a pulse.. Don't be too harsh against the persons involved in the project. For anyone who may think I can obtain some form of advantage writing these words, I can frankly tell You that I've been totally ignored by First Texas since last February without even a mail reply to my requests. I was not asking for the moon, I was not asking for a discount, I was not asking to have a free machine. I produce web contents in the "hunters circle"...Nothing, not a word from them...To be clear with all eventual doubts in your minds... The only one person to give me a fast (and negative) answer is been Rick Kempf in the process to be on the purchase lost for the limited... I can also share this affirmations with you: I'm a scuba diver+the Impulse AQ is never been advertised like a diving machine... I can't call myself a pulse expert+the AQ will show me good results after dozens of attempts because of me. I hunt with incredible amount of competition around me+having an AQ will change almost nothing in my hard, fuc...hard hunter life... Be happy! I hug You all😉
  9. What a nice combination huh?🤣🤣🤣🤣
  10. Could be a stupid comment, but I see more than the gold beauty there.... Congratulations for that, but my question on it, is a bit strange... Have You noticed a clear, really noticeable sound difference between all those sizes and shapes? You have picked up five pieces of different grams and size too...I'm courios to know how this affected your ears on it... Had You even a vague idea of a gold piece with the signals, before to dig it?
  11. Long story short, I don't even know what machine I was using when I pulled it out from the bottom, but maybe months after, half an hour ago I was checking my Ctx for tomorrow hunt and testing some targets from my garbage/crusty/horrible coins can....When I passed it over the coil the numbers were all but obvious to be silver...So a 12.24 was lightning under my eyes and decided to give it a go for a steel wool run... I still need to clean well the Inside part of this oldie to the point I can barely see some engraving like a date or something... For now, I'm smiling like a child with a surprise...Gold has a terrible effect in my veins💀 It is the second time that I find something interesting but neglected...My daughter found a charm in the same bin😵....
  12. Thanks Joe! I already checked for a set of balloon tyres but...Jeez....Those wheels are mortgage stuff😭... The worst thing is also that You can't stress it too much over hard surfaces, due to the puncture risk...It happened to me to find a flat tyre on one of my beach trolleys once... Anytime I pull an infamous weight like that in the sand my back starts to make me feel stars and fire. I'll do this project later in the next Year if not before Christmas... Unluckily it seems a new Lockdown is next to our doors in Europe 🤬
  13. For some reason the link appear on my browser to take on the site's homepage... However I searched for "amplifier board"ant the first and only result is a Velleman pcd based on the same sound processor...again Pam8403... Unluckily the guys are too far from me, cause I'm Europe based, but I found tons of these boards on the web even at ridiculous price🤣
  14. Me too...Trust me🤣 All in all I can stick with the initial plan to work inside the headphones frame...I'm too courios if I can switch from a mono signal to the stereo mode with two independent speakers thanks to the board... Right now I'm also thinking to include a switch to cut out power when not in use and an insulated battery recharge connector...All to be waterproofed 🤔🤔😭
  15. There's a video on yt on how to replace the lcd screen on the pod... I've seen partially the speaker side cause in the footage that part wasn't the interested area to film, but I think to open the curved door from the outside just to have a sight of what's under that piece...So my idea is basically to wire the negative, positive and ground desoldering it by the ruined speaker and apply a male M12 8pins on the cover to couple it with an external female on the headphones... The transformation will appear like an Equinox headphone plug behind the control pod, to make an example... I'm only supposing this mod in my mind, to skip the internal bridging of the two outputs...The rear end is the last part I want to open for now on my machine, Wich is turned again the most effective due to the crazy erosion I'm assisting...
  16. Thanks for sharing the idea! This is the cleanest way to do it! Unluckily I had replaced out of warranty the entire rear end, due to the ruined coil's connector and I don't feel comfortable opening the "hearth" of the system to bridge the connectors together...It seems easy to do but usually a couple things can always go wrong...Sh...happens and safe better than sorry...I'm more oriented to open the screen box rear side, where the speaker is sleeping without to even work anymore (silent by years and doesn't work if headphones are disconnected) and try to solder the - + and G to another single speaker just to try the output...At the first trouble I can always close everything again and proceed with the original project🤣
  17. Really interesting... I think the output is available right behind the speaker door on the control pod...Maybe I can do a straight wiring with a strain relief and use it like an Eqx... Or, I can solder a secondary audio output connector cable from there to the rear area where the headphones are now connected....🤓
  18. What a work Joe!I still miss that powerful sound already strong on the Excal, but this is gorgeous! I just hope to realize something similar with the stuff I can find locally... I was also thinking to use the two channels like in a stereo system even if the source audio from ctx is mono... Maybe I'm saying bullsh...but on the board I see the audio In for a cable only from one channel source and two outputs. So maybe I can wire the speakers singularly to connect them at the exits of the board, instead of reproduce the Minelab and Grey Ghost original wiring...
  19. There's a version of this board with volume regulation with a potentimeter.Once You tune to 90/95% of the maximum range the board, easily, you can control on the machine the source volume. This is my plan, cause when I'll insulate all the stuff with gum will be tough to modify any setting.
  20. Have You tried regular speakers instead of piezos in your projects? I'm actually interested in that type of headphone, due to the kind of sound they can give.
  21. Hi all of You! I want to share the first toughts on my new project for a waterproof amplified headphones need... As usual, I'm pissed by a number of things, not to be boring, but at a certain point my patience has a limit and with people legs between my search pattern, swimming at dawn over me...What can I do to relax myself until the summer ends? So I started a long research for a real tiny, cheap and effective amplifier board to install inside the headphones and hopefully to pump decently the audio on my Ctx3030.. I'm probably the last of the tribe that discovered this item, but hey! I'm impressed by the things can be done with this little toy... The board name is Pam8403 and is dirty cheap, to say a lot you can find it for 3 bucks in some cases... There are multiple variants of this board even with potentimeter already wired! This is however a digital class dual channel stereo amplifier and the audio source by the ctx is mono... So I'm still looking how to manage the wiring scheme to don't make a mess... I bought a pair of anti noise headphone frame to apply the speakers and the board and right now studying a way to get some power with an internal dedicated battery...The downside is that these boards need a specific tension of 5V and to be powered solely.. In my case, I need to waterproof the entire system with silicon gum (same type for epoxy moulding)...Wagnersil 22NF will cover completely the stuff inside...When it is time to replace the battery, the problem will arise of having an isolated compartment for it Once I'll be able to master this thing, I'll show if it works properly... I'm looking for the right speakers too... As usual, any thought or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!
  22. You assisted to a miracle... Usually what happens more frequently is to find charms but nothing about the related chains, maybe spreaded somewhere else by the currents or just impossible to find cause of the broken shape laying down...Lovely piece too!
