Jeez🤣, I'm fine with half of that pack on my Beachhunter.Same volts but half the Capacity😁

Hi folks,
I've been a couple times diving in two different spots the last week and cause of a ton of new sand, working at a deeper area, less pounded by the most of the army.
As usual, my camera was out of service in the moment of glory and there's no footage as I left It once and discharged another time😤...
Aniway, two fishes for the week...Too bad...trust me😑
Both 18k bands

Solved with hand's soap 🧐.
The gasket, which Is an empty core O-ring, tends to "grow" when out of the housing.
The corners are the only place on the lower part to keep It firm.
Sliding a Little without screws before to Push, solved the mistery😤
-
After the good new I realized when tested a few days ago my machine after It drowned and I've succesfully reanimated It....
Now the horrible gasket Is fighting to stay out of the housing against any kind of attempt😒.
So I'm in the middle of a headache manutention session with scarce results.
That's the Mood guys😑

when one of the guys drown
Unluckily, for the Age, lot of things were neglected.
Today a totally new way to train people in diving schools can save lot of stupid accidents.
On the other hand, especially here in Europe, the most frequently habit I see It Is brand new divers adventuring without any sort of certification or experience, maybe thanks to a so called Expert friend.
Solo diving for hunting, It Is even more Dangerous if You consider the Total lonelyness around You in case of troubles.
I never go over the NDL curve safety limit and never alone over 6Mt. Down.
Staying in the really shallows Also, give You the Total tank's air use and the max bottom time to hunt.
And I'm even today skeptical on the surface supplied air System, which Is not the commercial type but something like a Nemo or Brownie's equipment.
It Is not only a fact of reliability, but a physical damage when breathing compressed air the Major things to take note.😑

Wow nice pair of rings ! I'm turning green !
I had a friend back in the 60s that never surfaced while diving for urchins in relatively shallow water.
There's SO much that can go wrong..
Really true.
Even if You are well trained, sometimes even the air source can be the cause of an accident.
Co2 as an example, can hurt silently at few meters down and the compressed air concetration Is like to be a suicide man breathing with a dozen of trucks making smoke in a room.

just wish you had some video on it.
You're right!!! Unluckily I don't turn on the camera until I'm not on an interesting area to work.So having It on my head, It happened to don't hear the sound of It when tried to start the footage. Water was a bit rough on the surface and was strongly pulling away the signal buoy.As an example, today I have a useless three hours footage with sinkers a a couple coins.Same spot, precise area...Nothing good.
Talking about the Dogodog's fear, trust me, hunting underwater a lot of things can be scary.
If someone Is not comfortable with himself in trouble situations, can be a nightmare for apparently stupid reasons.
Antious breathing, more air consumption, less bottom time to hunt effectively, no dive Buddy allowed for Us and a way long list of factor to keep trace of.
A couple times I've seen the death's face, literally.
For the same reason One of my tattoo Is a Mermaid with a coffer behind Her.
In 2014 I've been pulled out of water with a Rope thanks to two guys on the beach late in the evening after sunset.
No fins, no bcd, signal buoy on the shore and me, with the scuba tank on a slim harness and way too much ballast weight for the purpose...
I was Just testing a coil swap on my old Excalibur finished hours before, when a terribile current pushed me so far from the shore to don't be able to come back.

Lovely.
Another shot by the master.
A question for You Joe...
What are You using as a handle? I'm getting Crazy with bike terminals without to have the right inclination for a good hand drive.
99%of the bike stuff Is straight and not angled like Your.
Is that a specific shaft by some brand or not?
Clean setup as usual for the control box.
Porn to Say the right term😆

On a side note, did you get your TDIBH fixed up ?
Sorry for late reply, as I totally missed this question until now.
I was trying the other day to check the board and some soldering works...Probably, and I Hope for my fault, the water leakage Is less relevant than I was suspecting. And Happy new Is that One of the coil's cables Is disconnected from the board, maybe for an hard hit when I was down.
This can explain the flat treshold, the not working coil at the target passage over or under It and last but not least, the machine however working even with water inside 🤣🤣🤣...
I Need some chemicals to get the job done and I Also want to install a Flying connector to make the coil swap easier...Once I'll close the box, I'll do It with liquid gum as gasket trapped inside the upper and lower side..
To NEVER be opened again...

New spot inspection last week and happened a lucky strike due to the super sanded in condition even with unusual beach appearance...
Few seconds of a three hours session, otherwise useless dive between fresh foil at depth and heavier stuff way too far from shore...Ass hit for me this time...🤣🤣🤣
Enjoy!

Great results for your time, what did it weigh and what was the content of gold?
What type of detector were you using?
Good luck on your next hunt!

Sadly, there was no choice today but to hunt a really infested area, littered with aluminum and tons of new sand brought by the Harbor's arm shape and the last prevailed wind too...
I was in a so and so Mood, between the idea to leave at the first trouble and go back home before the 9.am empty handed cause of bathers already there😑.
I realized with all that horrible hump, to go way farther and to straightly use the tank, at least to avoid the fuc....g murky water on the shore...30 minutes later, after only three holes....hereunder the conclusion...
RAW footage, Sorry

Am I missing out by not using AM? Or, am I really doing better in Disc 2 set to 0 on ID filter AND tone break? Or, do I need to experiment to find out. Am I the first to look into this?
If You're in trouble with the audio response of your machine in AM, then try with Disc mode, but with the least effective setting against iron.I don't know properly your machine, but generally, I use zero discrimination with a dedicated tone for iron. This means to Hear It,don't dig It, but not making mute the machine over It too...You might want a clear signal if some iron Is accidentally near the good target, so eliminating the iron cut can help in some way...Hope this is clear in my way to explain It...

If You are sure to stay in the shallows for snorkeling, then a Kruzer Will do the job with a little expence.
On the other hand, when you're ready and comfortable for a scuba session, forget about those Land/water machines and trust old projects like an Excal or a Mark2.
Trust me, cause I recently drowned a TDI BeachHunter in less than 3meters down.
Even if I modified It, that machine Is Just a little more industrial experiment to close a TDI board in a so-called waterproof case.
After ten dives, Is done.

Here's my question. To you that have found small earings, tiny rings and chains etc. Do you just dig it all? I'm thinking that's the only way to even know for sure. I finding myself ok with that if that is how this works.
From my point of view, I surely payed the excess of discrimination in the past.
I hunted for years with a "supertuned" Ctx for a gold exclusive search, bored and tired many times, to discover finally that a well tuned all metal with a gentle treshold can do the job better in most of the sposts.
Useless treshold on a machine like that, but extremely efficient on an Excalibur.
My 2 cents are: forget about trash elimination by your machine and learn as much as You can to recognize environment's conditions.
Go for the weight index, instead of type.Move towards the targets are more prone to be coin or sinker like weighted..Be Happy to dig trash cause this only means to better know the area and how far you're from Gold.
The beach Is for me the most similar place to the hell.
There's other few places on the earth where to begin crazy without a real cause.
