Self Servicing The Fisher Impulse?
Carolina replied to bklein's topic in First Texas - Bounty Hunter, Fisher & Teknetics
Joe built his own case as the Fisher battery case can not be opened without destroying it. Joe and I both had the same idea at first. Also the case is to small for the LiPo batteries. One thing, you must plug the charger into the wall socket before connecting the battery. If battery is connected before plugging in the charger it will not charge. Also after 5 hrs if green light is not on yet unplug the battery. Manual says sometimes the green light does not come on and 5 hrs gives a full charge. SMH -
Self Servicing The Fisher Impulse?

It does not look correct. Normally I would say overcharging battery issue. Mine at first only gave me 2 1/2 hours at best. I gave one to Eric and the other one has gone flat and won’t take a charge from non use since I bought one of Joes batteries. If I can get it to charge you can have it. Will be in touch tomorrow. Since Joe sold a lot of batteries maybe someone else can help you. They are not worth what Fisher sold them for. -

Pretty sure that is a Joe mod, for the power connector if you will. I imagine digikey or maybe mouser would have them. Here is a picture of my machine at Eric’s house with a similar black O ring and plastic locknut on the Souriau coil connector. I’m sure Joe will give a part number when he sees this. I would caution for both mods, to be sure that the mating of the inner O ring which actually is the water tight seal is not impaired by the outer mod O rings. -

I hope and pray everybody in my neck of the woods buys a Equinox or Legend. -
Phrunt, I read the Chinese are moving into your neighborhood. The Solomon Islands. Not a good thing for anyone I think. Off topic.

Controller Headphone Adapter Cable For Deus II
Carolina replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in XP Deus II Forum
I think you misread my post. He is “working” on making a set of amphibians for diving. The gray ghost series have been out for many years, even back when Gary Storm owned the company. “One” of the models is the amphibians with waterproof piezo’s “benders” not speakers. He needs to work out the connection and size of piezo used for the Deus ll. Your model has speakers not piezo’s. -
What does it have ? 1-?-22, 8-3-22, 11-3-22 all v.6 versions.

Can you post a link to the videos ? Thanks

Self Servicing The Fisher Impulse?

Not so sure you can get it apart. Most everything is glued or epoxied in place. Joe and I have talked about it but neither one attempted yet. Joe and I both tried the battery and failed short of destroying it. Eric found that the metal locknut on the female Souriau connector was a source of capacitance that created issues in the salt water. After much ordeal he was able to drill it off as it is glued in place to replace it with a plastic locknut he cut and threaded. Let us know if you bust it open. I believe it has few if any serviceable parts. CJC says the pots are junk and should be the first to fail. VaShay I believe. I have no idea if FT will service the limited edition after warranty expires. -
Controller Headphone Adapter Cable For Deus II
Carolina replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in XP Deus II Forum
Carter and I talked maybe three weeks ago about the pin out on the Deus ll. At that time he was in the process of making a set of amphibians for diving. Not sure where he is at with that right now. The upgraded version are called platinums. -

Seems just the opposite of my findings. The pigtail can be bought from Diggers Den in Virginia for $16 shipping included. Talk with Sonya. -
Made these MSA left/RIGHT phones for my friend John. Dang muffs nearly doubled in price from several years ago.

AQ Connection Coax Seal?
Carolina replied to bklein's topic in First Texas - Bounty Hunter, Fisher & Teknetics
I’m trying to figure out the good ! Thanks I’ll be in touch . -
It is a small wooden dowel. You must heat the antenna with a heat gun ( like pvc heat gun or Wagner paint stripper ) not sure if a hair dryer will work. Being careful not to burn. Heat wire and then place in freezer for 15 min. Repeat this 3 times total. Then remove from dowel.

AQ Connection Coax Seal?

So every spin is a must ? What does this help Joe ? Hope your doing well. -
No, not 11/3/22. I now have the same performance as the original v.6 update. It was the 8/3/22 that caused my issues which now has mysteriously been replaced with 11/3/22 v.6.

AQ Connection Coax Seal?

The Souriau connector is a good one. Just push in as you turn to take some pressure off the nibs. Both mine have been well under water now for nearly two years. No problems. I also have the same connector on 8 or 10 coils for my Excalibur with no issues there also. -
Me neither !!! I bet Calabash had the 3-11-22 version on his video and had no idea.

WTH ? 🙈. No offense but you need to go back and read the thread. We all understand the controls. It’s the new update v.6 time date stamp 08-3-22 causing the issue. It seems Deus understands as now we have v.6 time date stamp 11-3-22 which we all hope corrects the issues. Dang Chase, some people’s kids 🤣. After watching his video just for fun, I think there may be a language issue here. If so I apologize for my rudeness.
