3.17 ozs each. I’ve used mine hard for nearly 17 mos. stared out at 4.1 charged... both are still charging at 4.1. They have larger mah capacity but Dimatar said these were a better longer lasting ones
Gave Joe all the info last week. He ordered four to build a set. Mine charged 4.2 and now 4.0 after 16 months of hard use. Really nice battery.

There are only 3 DiAblo scoops in existence now. Never went into production. The 720i and 920i are offered by Sunspot scoops. Stealth scoop. Just google Sunspot scoops. Stavr Scoops out of Ukraine offer some nice scoops reasonably priced. XTreme offers a nice scoop also although I have never used one. The DiAblo duck bill and the Sunspot stealth 720i cover all my needs here on the east coast.

Tom I think you will find yourself liking that SS 720i hybrid with a CF handle that Joe has posted. They offer a 920i also that’s a beast. You can pry a car up with either one and the CF handle will not break. Give it a try. You gunna like it. I prefer my DiAblo with 0 welds until I’m in rock. Then Chucks 720i comes out. Been prying boulders up for years.

I for one hope you continue to study his patent and share your thoughts here. It is nice that you have settled the issue VLF or PI, at least to my satisfaction. Very nice compliment to Dimitar I think coming from you. I can tell you, he stands behind his detector and is never to busy to talk with anyone. Very down to earth guy. Look forward to more reports on the detector.

Max only had the machine for his video so no he really has no idea what it can do. He is quite satisfied with his 600 I think. He has no urge to dig deep holes at this point in his life. Yes I will be taking the MDT north shortly for a day of testing and videos. Should be interesting. If Dimitar does not hurry up he may loose out to another machine shortly I think. Be glad when restrictions allow him to test and start production.

Hahahahaha you hunt to much😂. 7 days a week 7 hours a day IS to much 😂 That would kill me Max and Joe haha. We’re more like 4 or 5 hrs tops followed by 2 hrs in the recliner. I never well nearly never hunt dry sand. To rough on my ankles. On the oceanfront it is very difficult to hunt past the drop off unless you are a bear of a man so there, I’m knee deep in the wash and the thirteen works well for me there up to the top of the slope. Here, mid beach and the drop are where most gold lays. Chains seem to get blown up a bit higher. In the bay now that is a different story and chest deep is achievable there. I used to use the Excal. with 10” coil. Then I tried the CTX but not happy. Then the NOX and it was OK but not great. Now I use the MDT mostly or the Excal. A 12” coil in the water for the MDT would work fine for me I think. If I’m one of the few who gets a shot at the AQ, well maybe all that will change. I am glad you corrected me on the coil. Maybe I misunderstood. It is good to know. Dimitar has always been fair with me as he is with most I think. I should be receiving a package today as a matter of fact. As a backup plan, on the coil, my dentist says he will X-ray for me for any show stopping chips as well as some other thoughts. I have a friend who will wind me a coil should need be and go from there. It’s time for this pandemic to go away.

A recent conversation with Demitar he is working on a 12” round coil. I don’t know if that will suit you Thomas as a larger coil. I would like to see another inch or two. Here that would be crazy deep for some gold silver n the salt water. This virus has really put a damper on his ability to work on it since he can’t get to the beach. I’ve been begging him to put the ears in the middle.... better balance, coil won’t be nose heavy when you keep adjusting it, and less likely to break them. He does good engineering but he won’t put one out until he’s happy with it. I for one hopes it’s sooner than later
Yes I have talked with him also. One thing he is fairly free with his time to whom ever wishes to talk with him. He explained the lock down prevented him from testing. I offered to test here on the east coast but he was quick to say he does all his own testing. My ULTIMATE 13 is one hot coil when I run it on any of my Excals and it is thin and light. That would be a perfect size for me. I think the issue is the mold for the coil maybe. I’m not sure. I guess like the AQ we will wait and see. One thing that left a bad taste in my mouth, was the broken coil ear. It should have been a warranty issue not glue it back together yourself. I have one friend who has broken four coils and two arm cuffs on his NOX and Minelab gave him a one week turnaround with new parts no questions asked. If you run with the big dogs, you should be prepared to play like the big dogs. That is the only coil failure I am aware of and manufacture imperfections do occur.

Hi all im in nz. I think there are 3 of us here that run the tarsacci. I was told by dimitar that mine is running the nz coil. I too seem to have worn out my welcome with him too. I dont think he has any real knowledge of the black iron sand here in nz. Its harsh. Some places you need to swing 3 inches plus above the sand. I have hundreds of hrs now on our black sand and while it does find stuff i feel there is no real depth to it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
Matt
Hi Matt. We talked on messenger. Steve is very knowledgeable. Maybe shoot him a PM. Also Tom Dankowski’s forum has a very long read that may help.

It seems to me it is easier for him to talk on the phone rather than text messages so maybe speaking English is easier than writing. Maybe this is why he does not post on any forums as I know he does follow them. Just a thought. I hope that he is knee deep in production of a new 12” surf and turf coil for the MDT as has been discussed on other forums. I have over a year now with my Tarsacci and close to 400 hrs with 0:problems, other than tightening the battery cap a thread to much and stripping the cap so to speak. After tightening a second time and stopping when I should all is well. I know of one other who has done the same thing with the same results. My warranty will be out soon but I don’t anticipate any problems. I also have spent 75% of my time in salt water with no problems. This truly is a fantastic machine. Hope everyone stays safe from the terrible virus and good luck to all.

I still have not seen a video waist to chest deep in water with the impulse and none with the new control housing. I saw a still shot with yellow electrical tape wrapped around the housing for some reason another. I did see one, say ankle deep in water but was the older hip mount machine with the T handle shaft. Looking like a damp sand machine to me if at all. I’m getting old and this virus thing is terrible. Everyone stay safe.

Hey,Carolina, how can I find my MDT 8000 Serial Number?
When you first power up the machine it gives the serial # and rev.1 on the screen.

Well there you go, from the horses mouth so to speak. He has no doubt it will make it out the door! Good to read from him!

Thank you FlyFish.

So how do you contact them other than international phone?

I have owned the MDT for a year and my only complaint is no optional coils available. I really would like a round 12” coil and others have expressed the same interest for relic and coin hunting. I would use mine mostly for wet and damp salt water sand and relic. Fingers crossed that Dimitar will recognize optional coils will help produce more sales of the MDT and additional revenues from coil sales.

The more I’m using the MDT in iron laced sites, learning its audio language it’s auctully a good unit with very fast recovery speed. I’m starting to see separation as fast as a Deus, didn’t at first but after a long period of learning the MDT audio language it’s extremely fast with separation up there with a Deus.
Can see a need for a smaller coil in areas needing better separation, Not too small. Smaller elliptical would be nice, plan on visiting Dimitar soon. We had discussed going on a relic hunt up in gold county, maybe a little nugget hunting as well. I’ll ask about a smaller coil, hopefully he’s got something for us in the works.
Paul
Paul, I am more interested in a 12” coil for relic and coin as well as the damp and wet salt sand. Any help would sure make many people happy.

Sadly it appears that Dimitar is more interested in turning out another MDT model than offering additional accessories for the MDT 8000 that is already on the market. I wish he could see the need for a six inch and twelve inch coil for the existing MDT. My fingers are crossed.

I noticed in the video, when he ground balanced, he did not highlight the ground balance box. He left the volume box highlighted. It did change the GB number in the GB box. Any thoughts on this?

The name has been chosen, but releasing it now might make people think they are close to releasing it and they are not.

Looks like a well built backpack to me. On a side note, the Tarsacci comes packed in a very nice backpack. Thing is, I have never used it, 🤔. A thirty min. ride in any direction here and your at the beach. Maybe someday I will get to use it.

There were two other coils produced other than the stock 11” x 8” coil. One was for NZ and the other for testing in the Culpeper highly mineralized soil. They both shared the same 11” x 8” shell as the stock. The Culpepper coil did not preform as hoped. I do not know about the NZ coils performance.

Interesting, i didnt know that work was still being done on the PD...
All be it said, more than likely it is correct, but I think it is an assumption that it is the PD that Tom is describing on his forum. Enquiring minds want to know.🤔 Maybe at a latter date and time it will be made clear.

It could be possible, as I have a coil for the Tarsacci that was made for testing in the US in the infamous iron dirt of Culpeper, Virginia.
I'm not sure what exactly is different about it spec wise, but it is the same size and uses the same mold as the stock Tarsacci coil.
Daniel, I was told that Dimitar made two experimental coils for the Culpepper dirt but it did not work well. Maybe the second one is the NZ coil.Tom D. told me it was a forum member from Virginia that had the coil for testing. I am not sure if it is the same as the NZ coil or not. I would assume so. It appears that producing a larger (12”) coil is difficult for the Tarsacci. The oval coil works well in the water here but a larger coil is needed to work the wash and damp sand. I think it would also help in dry sand and for coin and relic hunting in the turf. There are those though who disagree with me on this subject. I do continue to pester Tom and Dimitar on this matter and it is just strange to me that a $1500.00 machine has no coil options. Thanks for your info on the coil.

Hi Joe, as we had talked earlier on CF shaft for the battery tube, and you have worked with fiberglass before. I have discovered that a fiberglass shovel handle has the exact ID to house the INR 26650 3.7V Li - ion batteries shown above that the Tarsacci uses. One handle should be able to complete four tubes vs three for a three foot section of CF at 1/3 of the cost. I can send you some pics if you like.
