  1. I befriend a lot machine operators and detect right along side of the dozers. most think its pretty cool when you find something. Sad part is, That this is the third large track of property (100+ Acres) to be converted into housing developments in the last year and a half, within 3 miles of my house. History is very important, please pass this on to everyone you know.

  2. The more I hold it the more magical it seems, No wonder why gold has fascinated us humans for thousands of years.  It truly is a strange feeling when finding something like that, It kinda takes you back to your childhood dreams of finding pirate treasure. Your heart starts pounding and hands shaking like you kissed your first girl. It really is a fantastic whirlwind of emotion. To answer your question Rick I was using my multi kruzer in 19 khz with a 9 inch concentric.

Shout out to Kac thanks for the lucky detector charm, I think it worked Ha Ha

  3. Looks like a worlds fair bracelet charm. You guy's had one in 1895. (An International Exhibition in Hobart). Maybe some visitors brought it over as a gift from New York. I might be wrong but it's my best guess without better detail. Cool find, I love the stuff that makes you wonder and your brain hurt.

  4. I didn't think I would find coin like that in my entire life and at that site. Sadly the old place is slated for demo and will be replace with the typical modern  crap houses. I was surprised at the price of the coin also, seems to be worth only gold weight. But man it sure is a pretty little coin. Maybe today I'll find its big brother Ha Ha Ha.

  5. Great to have you here on DP Mike, I hope to see some of your dirt treasure posted soon. Oh and the girls will out detect all of us, so be prepared to take some heat. Glad your here my friend.

  6. I'm not a line guy so I usually let other guys do the research, and make my decision after the smoke clears. But I always find myself drifting back to my older stuff and wondering why I bought some of the impulse buys ( bad thing to do). Bottom line is we all think that something might be better, when its really not. Fancy racing stripes do not make a race car. 9 times out of 10 its the place your are hunting and not the machine. No silver, No gold, No stuff, No find with any machine!!   I do wish Garret well with the apex and hope its a home run. Any Mfg that's still competing in the market is a great thing for all of us. Multiple detector choices are a wonderful option for us new toy driven enthusiast.

  7. I dig at least 3 or 4 flattened beer and soda cans at 12 inches every time I go out. Don't get discouraged, its part of the excitement!!!. If you want a really great hand digger PM our member Kac, He makes one of the best I have ever come across. It's tempered steel and almost as light as plastic. Please show us the good and the bad, its all part of the game. Good luck on your future hunts!!!!
