  1. I want to thank everyone for their input. There are true experts on here that help everyone whether starting out like my boys and those older gentlemen like myself. Great resource and I am proud to be a part of this forum.
  2. How about the Garrett ATX with the Garrett ATX Pro Deepseeker Package Metal Detector 11x13" Closed DD Coil and 15x20". I know its an older model but what are your thoughts on that for civil war caches?
  3. My next question is would the Axiom be the right machine for gold coin/relics? Or look at Minelab or wait for their next models.
  4. Thank you so much. I typically dig everything when relic hunting which has led me to a few gold coins. That’s why I was asking about the Axiom and gold coins/buried gold.
  5. What’s the big difference with pulse induction vs normal detectors?
  6. Just curious… would the Axiom be a good choice for civil war gold/coins or relics? How about salt water and beaches? Looks interesting but don’t know if I would be better off with my 3030.
  7. Just got the coil today. Gonna upgrade to a better sluice so I will check the forum. thank you again.
  8. I have been metal detecting since I was a teenager and to this day continue doing it. I was born and raised in Miami, FL and still live here. I also travel frequently to my property in Franklin, NC. I have a Minelab 800, CTX3030, and Garrett AT Pro. My preference is the CTX3030 (all coils) and usually download programs for it as it has proven reliable on beaches in Florida and relics in NC. Feel free to contact me if your in the areas I am. I am also interested in sluicing/highbanking for north of Florida; specifically GA, NC, and Tenn. Thanks to all that answer my questions.
  9. I agree with everything you have stated. Maybe I am overzealous. While using a sluice I found a couple of small pieces and last month a nugget. I have a CTX and 800 (just ordered the Coiltech 10 x 5 for the 800). I am debating wheher or not to get a 1000 or even 6000 as I am based in Miami and thought either machine would benefit NC and beach hunting in FL for gold items. However, I may be just wasting money. I will invest in a larger sluice and starting to look into it. Thank you.
  10. Will do. Thanks for all the help. I’ll try to find one.
  11. Would this benefit me - Coiltek 10 x 5" Search Coil (CTX 3030) for creek gold?
  12. Would you recommend this a beach hunter? My CTX 3030 does pretty well. However Minelab dropped updates for it and most firmware I use it custom. Thanks.
  13. Worth going for the 6000 for both applications? I have the gold at not the atx my mistake
  14. Oops typo. I’m meant the AT Gold. But yes Steve most areas are controlled but I have a few creeks on my property that I would like to explore. Plus living in Miami for beach hunting I thought maybe there would be a benefit over my CTX 3030. Perhaps I am wrong.
