nugget65 replied to deathray's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
Most definitely!!!!! -
Bear river campground is an excellent place to pan and sluice BUT BEWARE OF THE TWEEKERS...I haven't been there this yr but the past 3 yrs were a mess there... Its a shame because its a beautiful river and has nice panning and camping right on the river...

Dang it !!!! Wish I didn't already make plans ...I would've loved to go join this outing.... -
Thnx...will do ... I'm pretty excited about this machine ...heard so many great reviews on it so I figured I would give it a shot ... Still love my gb2 ...guess we gonna see how they compare... Did a simple air test last night and was amazed at the sub grain pieces it was able to hit on and the distance ...not really good at detecting yet as I am a newbie but excited about this machine and its potential...will keep y'all posted....

Deathray it will ...it always does ...takes more than a bad experience to jump my groove so to speak... Bad experiences are learning experiences.. ;-)

My buddy bought a minelab extreme with a stock coil on it and a docs screamer on it...we took it out today and found the normal 3 pockets full of square nails plus an actual cowboy boot spur (which was the awesome part of the day)... We brought a test nugget that about 6gr + I had a vial of about 10 Lil guys totaling just over a DWT... The machine would not hit either one... Is that norm?? What is the smallest nugget for this machine to hit on .. Also any advice on settings for this machine will probably save this detector from closet time... Thnx

What's Your Strangest Finds?
nugget65 replied to Sourdough Scott's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
U got me with the hoof and horse shoe combo....while mining on the river last yr my 12 yr old daughter caught a Steelhead in her sluice box...then the week after that had a crawfish... She said it takes more talent to do that than get gold...lol lol -
Thnx Steve.. I was just skeptical because of the price drop... I'm highly impressed with the Nokta company in general.... If anything was gonna have an impact on me it would be me using this GB2 for the past 2 mths and starting to believe its a square nail and foil detector instead of gold... Lol lol lol ...but I refuse to give up... I just always like a second opinion before I buy... Thnx again Steve

nugget65 replied to russ's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Congrats on the nuggets...nice ones.... More congrats on the 15lbs.. I just have a GB2 and I gotta say it has worked me to death in 2mths and I haven't lost a pound...... Not many pieces of gold but I'm still the king of square nails and foil in my house!!! -

Clarification On The Racer Shipment Date
nugget65 replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
I have never until recently heard of a company that is so quick to focus on the feedback of customers and make immediate changes in a product to satisfy them... Dilek ur company is showing a fine example of how customers should be treated... Thank you.. There are people in this life that live for negativity and nothing u do can satisfy them... -
Funny u mention that Steve... Was out yesterday and was digging a target that turned out to be a piece of foil but as I was digging I was coming across bones...big bones some leg looking some spine looking ...all I kept thinking was I found a body...I was so happy when I came across a skull that wasn't human... Needless to say I'm loving my detector and the adventures its taken me on in a week of owning it... Already went through 1 set of 9volts.. Already thinking about what detector I want next...

The gold bug 2 is teaching me a lot about metal detecting...mostly about digging...been doing a lot of that...but having so much fun... Been going to old hydraulic mining sites and the history I see and dig is amazing to me...boot tacks..old tobacco containers...old mining equipt...etc etc.. Mostly etc...lol ...thnx
