  1. Chase, I’ve learned over time by comparing pinpoint sound and size. Nickels tend to produce a more robust tone and pinpoint larger than pull tabs, which pinpoint smaller. It’s not a perfect system though, I’ve found shallow nickels are much easier to separate from pull tabs but it’s quite fun to call it and be right most of the time
  2. Most times I use the pinpoint function to help separate nickels from pull tabs
  3. Nice Dan, you have way more patience than I do. You really cleaned that place up, good finds too, congrats
  4. Thanks everyone, .925 or not it is one nice ring.
  5. Found a beautiful little diamond ring, probably CZ. It says Avon sterling but there is a little chip that looks like it’s plated. Does anyone know if Avon sterling jewelry is .925 silver?
  6. Oh wow, thanks Steve. You just made my day. I contacted the Heritage mint Ltd and they said they didn’t mint the medallion, they said it was probably minted by The Heritage Mint Corperation In Massachusetts that is no longer In business. I took the medal to a local coin shop and the guys in there said they never saw one before, he offered me 20.00 for it after they tried to convince me it wasn’t made of silver. 😂 Thanks again Paul
  7. Thanks Digger, I did more research and found that post, there just isn’t anything else online that I can find, strange. I just emailed The Heritage Mint to get more info, I’ll let you guys know what I find out.
  8. Thanks for that, the one I found is definitely silver. Just wish there was more information on this minting.
  9. Found what looks like to be a commemorative coin or medal minted by the Heritage mint for the Mormon church. Does anyone know anything about this, there is very little information online about this coin? Silver content, how many minted? Thanks
