A trick I learned in a book I was reading maybe 30 years ago that really does work if you want to try it. Put Vaseline on your feet before you put your socks and boots on. It feels funny when you first put your boots on but after 10 min you don`t notice it and your feet will improve greatly. All the best. Rolls

Mitchel hi, I was not a member at the time but I did follow your trip to Victoria with interest. Because of my own experiences, particularly over the last 4 or 5 years, I always thought your trip was going to be a tough gig. I was pleased when you found your gold. Thanks everyone for your comments. Mike apparently in most of the Golden Triangle the purity runs between about 92-98% but I have read that at St Arnuad, which is top left of the Triangle, there are areas up there where the gold has a high silver content and purity can be as low as 70%. Hi all, I have been reading this excellent forum for a couple of years and recently joined. I live in southern Victoria, Australia and have been detecting on and off for about 20 years and have had a little success but nothing to write home about, but I do enjoy the hobby. I currently own a GPZ7000. I think it is quite heavy but it is amazing the small pieces it can find. This photo is what I have found so far in 2020. I do quite a lot of trips away where I come home empty handed. The piece in the middle is 4.92 grams and the total weight here is 6.01 grams. All these pieces were found around Talbot in central Victoria. All the best. Rolls
