  1. Thanks for sharing the videos Alexandre, 👍 The machine appears to scream with every swing towards the current, even with sensitivity down to 4. This would make hunting the surf unbearable. Is this something that will be corrected before the official release version?
  2. Hi Compass, You will have zero competition considering no detector can pickup fine gold chains. I saw some Russian guys using them on Youtube, but casting the rake into the deeper water with a rope and pulling back to shore. I wonder if it would be possible to metal detect whilst dragging the 'rake of doom' behind you with a rope and waist harness 😆 Maximum productivity!
  3. 👍 seems that is what he did. This machine has been engineered to operate at 7us, would be a shame to lose that ability, especially when searching for freshly dropped fine gold.
  4. Hi Kenne-Bill, Appreciate your summary. Good to see the AQ is in the hands of another water hunter. When fully submerged, do you think it is possible to keep pulse delay at 7 but reduce sensitivity to stabilize falsing? Thanks again 👍
  5. Good luck Rick, hope the replacement never leaks. I've had my Nox 800 for 2 years and thought it was invincible. I am in shoulder deep salt water a few times a week. Until finally last week it happened. The dreaded leak. Thankfully Minelab offers a 3 year warranty on the Equinox, but now I am having problems shipping it back from Vietnam to Australia for repair. Apparently the shipping companies here do not like the built in lithium batteries. But if I remove them, it will void warranty 😟
  6. Hi Compass, You are correct. 24K or 9999 as they call it here rings very high like silver. From memory a 7.5 gram 24K ring was hitting 30-32 on the Equinox. I believe hunting in All Metal mode will be the way to go. Hi Le Jag, yes Sir... that is my YouTube Channel. Thankfully there is not a lot of iron on the beach here, so if I can ever get my hands on the AQ I will be hunting in All Metal Mode. I don't want to miss out on that 24K 👍
  7. My local beach is a gold mine. Thousands of Asian locals and tourists whom for some odd reason love wearing jewelry to the beach. The sand here has no hard pan or shells to stop targets sinking, so you have to be quick. Whilst my Nox has done a great job thus far, finding me plenty of gold.. I really need to tune down the settings. The salinity of the water here causes the Nox to overload and switch into low power mode. This requires constant resets. In waist/shoulder deep water I am only finding shallow fresh drops. In the wet sand, I can power up and find deeper stuff. If I could manage to get my hands on an Impulse AQ I would be straight into shoulder deep water digging up the deeper and heavier drops. With this machine, I will not be counting gold in grams, but Kilograms 😁 (we can always dream right?) I am living in the hope that once the North American buyers have been taken care of, Fisher will consider shipping Internationally. 🙏
  8. Thanks for sharing Joe, I am amazed how deep the AQ hits that small ring. This machine is an absolute beast 👍
  9. Hi Joe, How stable is the AQ once submerged in salt water? Do you really need back off on the sensitivity and timing? Thanks for sharing
