  1. I found this when I was trying to figure out where it was ok to detect. I can't verify the accuracy so do your homework, but hopefully it's helpful to someone. http://www.mdhtalk.org/cf/city-regulation.cfm?st=NV
  2. thank you all for the warm welcome😀
  3. I agree. If only the Simplex would be a better match for this area...sigh...it would be a slam dunk.
  4. thank you! i've been looking at the promo stuff. it looks pretty good. the only thing holding me back from the vanquish was the fisher price look and the vulnerability to water exposure. i know the apex isn't waterproof, but it looks like it could withstand a rain shower, although not that much of a risk in nevada🙂. i'm not in a hurry and can wait a bit for some real life reviews after the apex is released. who knows, maybe a used equinox will show up for sale before then. thanks for remembering me with the suggestion. i appreciate it.
  5. Hi all! I'm looking for suggestions for a first purchase metal detector for using in the sierra/reno area. I'm thinking the vanquish 540, the simplex+ or multi kruzer. I can't really afford an equinox. Any suggestions, thoughts? Thank you for your help.
  6. Hello, I'm a total noobie and will try and not embarrass myself with stupid questions. I haven't made a detector purchase yet but hope to soon. I've read lots of reviews and watched tons of videos, but wonder how all those machines actually work where I live. I'm totally open to suggestions from anyone, but especially those of you in northern Nevada. Thank you!
