  1. Because you will like it so much you will want the Deus, I keep getting amazed at the ORX in that it can go over hunted out sites and start finding things, in my experiance this is the best detector i have ever used . and rather than not buying the regular Deus its just the contrary i did buy the Deus and am liking them both i stopped at the 30,s hunted out shack and in 15 minuts found the shown targets , and I am like scratching my head , Dindint i got over this very spot ? what the ?"" if i sell the orx its not because i dont like it its becuase i need money but i had a choice to bring the orx or the regular deus . i chose the ORX because i have more experiance with it and am new to the big Deus . but i am really impressed with them both
  2. finally finished detecting all the dirt from the out house and found a small key , wich is a hard shape to find with a detector so just one coin was lost in the outhouse
  3. I have begun to fill the hole but am detecting all the dirt going back in , so far found a shot shell and a piece of tin that used to seal the old tin cans and i found a 22 shell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb4Yy290rKw
  4. I have heard that pitch mode with a disc of 10 is really good at picking thru the iron
  5. some years ago about 30ft from the idian penny a 1879 seated low mint dime washed out of the dirt road it had a cut nail right next to it and was only 4" deep and yet i had gone over it with about 7 difrent detectors
  6. Today i did some testing with the ORX and the HF 9" coil in 13.3 KHZ on an 8" dime a 6" dime and a 7" penny in ground , and experimented and kept changing things and observing and found i got the best hit on the targets at coin fast with a reaction of 2.5, and 13.3 KHZ 80 gain, the 80 gain was because higher in this mineralized sand chokes the signal well after all that testing i got up to the hill of many nails and started swinging, i dug several flat irons and cut nails , but then i got a nice two way signal and dug down a solid 7" and up comes a VF 1882 indian head penny . the soil hear is kind to copper but i was just thrilled the ORX really came thru even as a coin hunter in fact this is the 1st coin off this hill with any detector
  7. and again the 9" HF coil in 31khz pulls out more brass from the cut nails, I am only liking this machine more
  8. and by the way i used the Racer with the 5" coil ,a perfect little machine for doing this kind of work
  9. I have been digging a 1930,s out house and before i left for the day i scanned my sniper coil thru the dirt i had trown out , finding sevral shot shells and then what i thought was a token , and this is just on top of the pile well i got it home and cleaned off the dirt , It is an 1899 V nickle , and i suppose when the out house user pulled down his pants this coin fell out , Now I am asking myself , How many other coins have fallen out ? so my plan is to take a board and put a few scoops on the board , spread it out , have a magnet handy and scan the whole pile going back in I bet it has more coins
  10. I thought the simplex has a fast swing speed , now ant no way you can swing fast in the water , so would it not loose depth and targets?
  11. The buckle say s - PAT -march 3 1874 the other one i found this summer with another detector
  12. Just got the HF 9 so i took it out for its 1st run on the hill of nails , this has been pounded till nothing sounds off but this combo maniged to pull two targets out in about 10 Minutes and the 1st one had 3 nails in the hole . The rivit washer really suprized me becuase it came in so clear in the one spot i always detect. I can only say this thing really can find the leftovers that nothing els can find Now i dug a few false cut nails but it was giving off the iron sound mixed in . but that ting you see that was a solid 14" deep and it was making a sound like a silver coin makes and repeatable . i was about to stop digging because i knew no silver coin would be that deep as 7" is about max for this 54KHZ if you really listen , but then i hit the ring . not a bad coil at all
  13. was out looking for coins and got a hit on a nickle plated item of age , and I soon realized i had an out house. this is the 1st bottle i found in it , Still have to finish it
  14. I see some very early Tabs, so the spot must have been used along time
  15. I tried the test with the TDI SL and same size foil could not disc it out even at full pulse delay. and the ORX even in 99disc could not go silient . I would have to say what that Tarsacci can do is somthing new to detecting as far as my experiance
  16. I would rather have some food to eat,and what i dont like about gold is when you buy it you have to pay tax on it .and if you sell it you sell at spot and if you make money you now owe the IRS, Hear in Minnesota if i buy over 599.00 worth i have to file some kind of a tax form, also I am not earning any intrest on it , I would not mind finding some tho
  17. great sven just think all those 7" dimes and your gain is down , Keep us up to date on your digs I like hearing about it
  18. Jeff i have the Equinox 600 with the 11" and 6" coil got it new in end of may this year ,never had it in the water but i dont trust it now . I will let it go with the 11" coil and the 6" coil shipped for 375.00$ I figure its chances of leaking are good , I figured it would be nice for the river but I figure its not really going to stay dry but i do most of my hunting in the woods and field, and ocasionally go to parks.
