was out looking for coins and got a hit on a nickle plated item of age , and I soon realized i had an out house. this is the 1st bottle i found in it , Still have to finish it

I see some very early Tabs, so the spot must have been used along time

I tried the test with the TDI  SL and same size foil could not disc it out even at full pulse delay. and the ORX even in 99disc could not go silient . I would have to say what that Tarsacci can do is somthing new to detecting as far as my experiance

I would rather have some food to eat,and what i dont like about gold is when you buy it you have to pay tax on it .and if you sell it  you sell at spot and if you make money you now owe the IRS, Hear in Minnesota if i buy over 599.00 worth i have to file some kind of a tax form, also I am not earning any intrest  on it , I would not mind finding some tho

Jeff i have the Equinox 600 with the 11" and 6" coil got it new in end of may this year  ,never had it in the water but i dont trust it now . I will let it go with the 11" coil and the 6" coil shipped for 375.00$ I figure its chances of leaking are good , I figured it would be nice for the river  but I figure its not really going to stay dry  but i do most of my hunting in the woods and field, and ocasionally go to parks.

took the ORX out to a hunted out site, using the Gold 1 with the setting i told you about . I got fooled by one deep iron nail that was bent in an L shape and rusted to the point that a sliver of unrusted iron was in the middle so i dug it all thou it sounded a bit hollow. but i could tell when i had a non Iron target, even that big iron you see from a cast iron stove was easy to tell it was big and flat and was Iron so i dug it , and the flat barrel iron i could tell but dug it to remove it . found a copper rivit and a aluminum insode of a 1930,s bottle cap that was deep so i checked it with the other programs and they said dig . one thing i wish they would do with the ORX is when you hunt in Gold 1 and want to check with another program i would like to just press one button to get to my alt program instead of scolling thru to get to my alt program . but all in all this is a great machine . I love how easy it is to colaps it and take it with me on my ATV that way its not getting hung up in branches and things in the deep woods. I bet i would have found somthing like a coin but the Mosquitoes drove me out .And one more thing the large round brass thing in picture 2 has a Iron thing in it that threw off the other detector s but not the ORX and it was only 3inches deep

Bigtime  I am with you I am going to sell the Equinox but at a bargan price because its chance of leaking is great , I have been spoiled by the ORX

I have never had a VLF that could do this ,I have to say i am liking the ORX way more than the Equinox , in fact i may be selling the Equinox,  another nice thing is no falsing of the end of cut nails  in gold 1

Working with the ORX in Gold 1 .  Using 27.6 KHZ and came up with a setting that hears the Nickle without cracking but gives the iron away . as iron . The Reactivity is on 2.5, the IAR on 3 and sens on 90, all targets buried at 5"  --NO.1 Nickel, NO.2 rusty bottle cap, NO .3 flat iron about the size of a U,S quarter, NO .4 a bent cut nail.

did some more testing this morning in the Gold 1 but used 12Khz, for some reason this gave no EMI from the powerline over the road and i was able to run 90 sens getting all copper targets in road with clear signal , had the reactivity on 2 , and the IAR in 2 and got breaking on bottle cap and iron targets, copper coming thru clean 9" x35 coil

Steve , I may have called the pulse delay a frequincy but now the pulse delay is hooked up on the right side and the frequency is on the left , hears how i could tell the frequency knob turns really easyand the pulse has some or more resistance .  its now backwards , i was finding the nickle would be faint , i kept ajusting what i thought was the pulse delay to knock out foil and nothing happened  so when i figured it out i adjusted the right side and it made that sqeal when it gets adjusted to fast  and that on the right now . I guess it work fine i just was ajusting the wrong one because it must have been hooked back up back wards. and i dont dare messs with it . i was scratching my head trying to figure out what the problem was with the targets not comming in and my normal setting seemed way off

O,K sent it in , and they replaced the PC board, and when i got it back somthing did not seem right , targets not showing ,well i figured it out the frequincy knobs got hooked up backwards so the fine is the main and the main the fine , I gueiss i will leave it like that i just dont have the money to keep sending it back  or i may sell it for a reduced price.It works at least  .

Sorry guys I was using Gold 1 program

Took the ORX out in the gravle road after it rained. wanted to try my copper nugget setting and look for copper . I have found copper nuggets in this gravle before  but was using the Racer in all metal , and i was digging alot of iron. the 1st picture is of the nuggets i found in the past  in this road, the one went thru the crusher and got made square, you can see another still in the rock , (looks like green stone)  any way today i used the copper setting 10.5Khz 85 gain  ,2.5 reaction. and 3 on the I.A.R- and i was going along and on every iron target it would break or give a low . one suface bottle cap gave its low off the edge and a deeper one gave a break, i was pretty much sure it was iron so i dug it and it was a rusty bottle cap . but then came this short consistant rather quite signal , with no breaking so started digging down in the hard gravle and at 5" a copper penny , I was really amazed the setting was working , and some time later another soft short signal and down at 6" up comes a small piece of copper pipe,  so i was happy with the findings I dug  or was fooled by no iron but the copper was Identifiable , But i did find a strip of aluminum , but thats O,K as long as it was not iron .BTW i was using the 9" x 35 coil

I got one bran new and it was shot, still in for repair

How does it sound on a 14kring in 31Khz, as you had it tuned in

Hear in Minnesota we have a gravle road, and it has copper nuggets in it and agates,so i have been looking for them with my detectors, I figured the TDI would be great at this but found out its not because the setting that are good for silver are good for iron , but i nver thousght the ORX would actually exell  at this in Gold 1  I have a test garden of a  6 targets all buried at 6" deep the 1st is a 14 k ring , then a smashed aluminum bottle cap , then a cladd quarter, then a fresh bottle cap , and last a 1.5"x1.5" barrel strap flat iron  now in disc its hard to tell the difrence between the barrel strap and the silver quarter , very hard its the one target that most mimics the quarter . so i put the machine in Gold 1 and started playing around with the settings and this is what works so far the best  11-12khz reactivity of 2.5 and I.A.R at 4 its able to break on the barrel strap iron and the bottle cap and not on the quarter or the smashed aluminum bottle cap . even on the shallow bottle cap on the surface if the coil is on the edge it will give a low signal , the 14 k ring sorry to say starts sounding like a badd target .  but hay its working on the quarter good . so i took it to the gravle road where i have two buried copper nugets and a 6" dime  and a bottle cap and i used the same setting exept had to lower the IAR setting to 3 and got good results again , all the copper came thru with an unbroken signal , but the bottle cap and iron was breaking , so its kinda funny the Gold mode is also a high conductor mode and good at it
