  1. I got the remote finnaly , Alot moor potions and i really like the Audio boost
  2. Made a sound reflector to derect the sound back to my ears rather than away, worked good . sometimes i just dont like to use headphones. so this is a nice improvment . Something else i discovered was about the disc. Its normal setting is 6.5. but i turned it to 0 and the nails sound like good targets so i started upping the disc and at 2.00 the nails gave a nice crackle like on the old beep dig machines like the tesoroes but if you hit a nickle the sound was clear and better yet if you hit a high conductor it gave a nice high tone . still liking the ORX nice little machine
  3. Chase, I,m going to try what you said , sounds like you know what your talking about .
  4. using the hot program with some changes actally pulled out a copper thing right next to a cut nail on the hill of many nails i was getting a 70 72 number and went to dig it and up comes the nail , And i was just bummed out it seemed like such a good signal i re scaned the hole and got a solid 91 and up comes this copper thing , so then i was happy it was a good target just right next to a cut nail i was using the hot program with modes shown in pictures Using the x 35 coil 11.6khz
  5. I like the ORX but whats nice about the High end Deus is its adjustability like the target volume , the tones and HRZ ajustments . but for a change i dont think i will sell the ORX its just to nice
  6. Todays digs on nail hill, a very small knife and a button& spoon and some old cut nails. I was using the Deus 5.2 with the X-35 coil settingsbased off coin deep 4.4KHZ , boost , 4 tones with the 1st two set @150 hrz and the 3rd set at 500hrzand the last at 800hrz 1st tone break @ 32 second at 64 and the Disc was -3.2. 2.5 reaction, GB 2 points lower than the ground setting , Gets deep , for example the small knife with iron thru it was 7+ inches deep the button was maybe 3" deep with nails around it
  7. Because you will like it so much you will want the Deus, I keep getting amazed at the ORX in that it can go over hunted out sites and start finding things, in my experiance this is the best detector i have ever used . and rather than not buying the regular Deus its just the contrary i did buy the Deus and am liking them both i stopped at the 30,s hunted out shack and in 15 minuts found the shown targets , and I am like scratching my head , Dindint i got over this very spot ? what the ?"" if i sell the orx its not because i dont like it its becuase i need money but i had a choice to bring the orx or the regular deus . i chose the ORX because i have more experiance with it and am new to the big Deus . but i am really impressed with them both
  8. finally finished detecting all the dirt from the out house and found a small key , wich is a hard shape to find with a detector so just one coin was lost in the outhouse
  9. I have begun to fill the hole but am detecting all the dirt going back in , so far found a shot shell and a piece of tin that used to seal the old tin cans and i found a 22 shell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb4Yy290rKw
  10. I have heard that pitch mode with a disc of 10 is really good at picking thru the iron
  11. some years ago about 30ft from the idian penny a 1879 seated low mint dime washed out of the dirt road it had a cut nail right next to it and was only 4" deep and yet i had gone over it with about 7 difrent detectors
  12. Today i did some testing with the ORX and the HF 9" coil in 13.3 KHZ on an 8" dime a 6" dime and a 7" penny in ground , and experimented and kept changing things and observing and found i got the best hit on the targets at coin fast with a reaction of 2.5, and 13.3 KHZ 80 gain, the 80 gain was because higher in this mineralized sand chokes the signal well after all that testing i got up to the hill of many nails and started swinging, i dug several flat irons and cut nails , but then i got a nice two way signal and dug down a solid 7" and up comes a VF 1882 indian head penny . the soil hear is kind to copper but i was just thrilled the ORX really came thru even as a coin hunter in fact this is the 1st coin off this hill with any detector
  13. and again the 9" HF coil in 31khz pulls out more brass from the cut nails, I am only liking this machine more
  14. and by the way i used the Racer with the 5" coil ,a perfect little machine for doing this kind of work
  15. I have been digging a 1930,s out house and before i left for the day i scanned my sniper coil thru the dirt i had trown out , finding sevral shot shells and then what i thought was a token , and this is just on top of the pile well i got it home and cleaned off the dirt , It is an 1899 V nickle , and i suppose when the out house user pulled down his pants this coin fell out , Now I am asking myself , How many other coins have fallen out ? so my plan is to take a board and put a few scoops on the board , spread it out , have a magnet handy and scan the whole pile going back in I bet it has more coins
  16. I thought the simplex has a fast swing speed , now ant no way you can swing fast in the water , so would it not loose depth and targets?
  17. The buckle say s - PAT -march 3 1874 the other one i found this summer with another detector
  18. Just got the HF 9 so i took it out for its 1st run on the hill of nails , this has been pounded till nothing sounds off but this combo maniged to pull two targets out in about 10 Minutes and the 1st one had 3 nails in the hole . The rivit washer really suprized me becuase it came in so clear in the one spot i always detect. I can only say this thing really can find the leftovers that nothing els can find Now i dug a few false cut nails but it was giving off the iron sound mixed in . but that ting you see that was a solid 14" deep and it was making a sound like a silver coin makes and repeatable . i was about to stop digging because i knew no silver coin would be that deep as 7" is about max for this 54KHZ if you really listen , but then i hit the ring . not a bad coil at all
