  1. Hey , hey , hey ! Well I still do pretty good with my "old" whites. I do post some finds. But ya gotta remember. Not everyone shows or even talks about all their finds. Myself included. Only seen a few D2 users out , but I think there are probably a few more.
  2. One of the coolest things you do on your channel that nobody else does is showing your gratitude by thanking the Lord.
  3. Now that's a ring ! Your assessment on luck of the draw is very accurate when it comes down to it. Only advice I can give to up the odds are hunt where the more affluent play. You would think wearing expensive jewelry comes with commonsense and intelligence , but that's not always the case.
  4. Usually. And what do the other numbers mean. What about the inside texture of said ring. Ever found a 750 Cartier fakey ? Lol
  5. Not so sure about that one .!!! Not saying it is because it's not in my hands or tested it. But EVERY ring that l have found that looks like that is brass. FAKE. But it will show up in that diagram ya got there.
  6. A couple months ago I posted here a thread about my 22k chain I found and the experience I went through with testing and selling it. Including the $30k handheld machine to test it. Fakes over the last 2 years have been showing up exceptionally well made. Very heavy plating that will fool the pros. Heavy fake gold plated rings are usually brass. I recently found a very heavy 18k stamped chain. My acid test showed it good. Jeweler really dug into it on his test stone. His 18k acid revealed a blueish color. Meaning it was silver underneath. Acid kits need to be replaced at the latest , every 6 months for accuracy. For diamonds , my guy will give them to me for free. That should tell you something. They really need to be a third carat or larger to be worth something , preferably 3/4 and up. Points and chips , good luck.
  7. Since joining forums about 6 years ago , I have counted ALL rings if someone asks. Otherwise I only count gold PIECES in my yearly totals. Ring , broken ring bit , earring , part of a gold chain would count as 4 pieces. But in my day , we only counted by WEIGHT. Like how many ounces did you find this month. Or how many pounds did you find this year...
  8. Busted up gold is just that. I've always counted it as a piece. But hey , Gold is Gold !
  9. Great hunt ! Appears to be some discoloration to the left of "italy". Also my Tiff expert says the stamps are usually more sharp and well defined. Take it in. GL
  10. Dumb. This kids treasure hunting career is over. His pirate card is permanently revoked.
  11. I do look at his posts. But he isn't out here. Point being it is not a blow it all away machine. Let's see the Manticore in blacksand against 7 others with Nox's. I have , and they were all getting the same. Of course I'd still like a Manticore. But my DF is still eating them alive.
  12. Totally agree. Guys I know that have them are no dummies , we'll except 1 but he is mentally challenged. It is difficult to admit after one waits and spends all this $ on a Manticore to admit there are some faults/flaws in it. To admit being wrong or have regrets. Bottomline here is : it hasn't found anything a Nox couldn't. But I think this could change due primarily to beach conditions. They are both good machines. But $500-700 more ? NO
  13. Ain't that the truth. Let's just say it was a beautiful day !
  14. Agreed with what you say. But those chains , most any machine will hit those. Very sanded here now. Run the Nox down a stretch of the wet desert. Then follow in the direct path with the Core. Be interesting your results. GL
  15. The weed wacker is kinda a joke as I filmed him once when we hunted. For educational purposes....lol
  16. Rosie is a G1. Lol I call him coin ajus. Like the juice you dip roast beef in. And with all the coins , it's easier to pronounce. 🤣. I think with all the gold he's found , the Manticore is about paid for. I don't know how he does it . Maybe he corrected his weed wacker swing he had. Haha !
  17. Because initially I wanted one. As far as dirt , idk and nor do I care. Mainly referring to beach use. Yes , I'm mainly a PI user. Of course most are happy with them , except for the price. Re-read what I said about comparing with the Nox out here. Just my observation and what I've been told. A revelation would be if they were available to the masses by now ! And not by big box chains disrespecting veterans discounts.
  18. Back around September I predicted that the Manticore would be available to the masses by the end of February. Even after anxiously awaiting the ML Christmas Story that was told. I thought no way , seen this before. Sure enough , as we enter the tail end of March they still aren't here en mass. Not like the Nox. Of course some have them and others are still on a list I see. Unbelievable. Don't want to hear excuses , because we all have them like you know what. So for this my friends , I apologize for my gross prediction error ! On another side note : the few that I know who have them are still learning the machine and have made some good finds. But they are not finding gold that the Nox couldn't have found on the same beach at the same time. The last couple months have had some Epic events and alot of gold was yanked. I'm waiting to see it happen on a tightly packed beach with lots of hunters and only the Manticore pulls it through. Probably not gonna happen and I know of a couple guys who kinda regret forking over the bucks for it.
  19. True , the surf does recycle and bring stuff in. When I talk about a beach being overrun , I mean counting 10 hunters in a relatively tight , small area. I hope you never experience this as it's rather disheartening. Especially when they don't work together.
  20. Nice job on the gold. From your comments you are learning much faster than I expected. Backup , multiple beaches are a must. Just be careful and guarded with your favorite Hotspot for as long as you can. Here in So.Cal it doesn't matter anymore whether I post pics of beaches and a map. Between the Youtubers and volume of hunters over the last 5 years in particular , most spots are simply overrun. Sharing a spot amongst friends is a double edged sword. Enjoy it while you can.
  21. Yikes , that is a monster ring. GL on finding the owner. For some reason on my return attempts , I have trouble reading or typing in the correct name in my search bar. But I sure give it the good ol' college try !
  22. Here's my 3 year old RTG ! Yes , I'm rough on my scoops and have owned many. I try to dig fast , no finesse. Normal beach sand and small rocks. NO prying. I had riveted the SS tip once , not worth a 2nd. This was a custom job with a wider band on the scoop itself. Even though it's trashed now , I still highly recommend it for the $200 price tag. But there are better. All my scoops pay for themselves within a couple weeks.
  23. Like I mentioned before , the guys that consistently kill it have 10 , 20 years or more pounding the surf. Not gonna happen in 2 or 3 years let alone a few months. But you are on your way. Study and research are key. By now , you should have figured out that your small beach is done. And you can't always wait for a storm to hit. Move on to another beach ! Be willing to explore and travel. GL
  24. At least he didn't show all his probes hanging in the shower !
