  1. ooooh I love a good mystery. So how does this all work I wonder? So, to throw everyone off the scent of the real high value area that our Equinox amateur found, he moves it to another area that doesn't have the right geology for it? Yeah, that's probably it…or is it?… I cannot wait for the next chapter...🧐
  2. Gosh you never know, it might even have been that no-one ever dismissed it as junk because no-one ever walked over it before, and instead of wandering, maybe it was a guy, really plugged into his Nox, who found it with skill and persistence. Maybe…haha
  3. an eyeopener for sure…(starts charging up all the detector equipment)...
  4. Well congratulations for doing what many would not; take advice well. Good luck on those deep ones.
  5. Oh please…just my uninformed opinion but: if this thing worked, you would have had to get in line to find one - news of something that works in this field travels at the speed of light. And 45 meters in depth? Does it come with an excavator? I wish you well but do your homework. Good luck. If anyone has experience with this please tell us.
  6. That is some of the more spectacular gold we have seen on here in a long while. It's nice to know there are areas like this still out there. Thank you for sharing. I hope you are not overrun with "helpers."
  7. I'd be lying if I said I have filled in every hole…there are times I have left them unfilled so I can see where I have been, and then go back and fill them in all at once. There have also been times when I just didn't fill the hole in and I am not proud of it. But, most times I fill them in and always feel better when I do.
  8. That is hands down the best mining and prospecting outlet I've ever seen and far beyond anything I could have imagined. I especially love the variety of dredging equipment. It's been a long time since I was dredging and I miss it every day. Congratulations.
  9. It's funny that everyone here recognizes your affliction...
  10. Very descriptive and evocative account. I like the way you write. Now, for some detecting luck...
  11. Interesting first chapter. I hope things loosen up a bit in chapter two. Mexico is always interesting that's for sure.
  12. I wonder if others also notice that swinging (s l o w l y) twice over the same sweep area, many times brightens up what is an "iffy" signal on the first swing. I have found this to be true enough times to make it something I do as a matter of course when I'm in an area that requires careful detecting.
  13. This sat communicator works really well…it's cheaper than a Garmin and it works better.
  14. Hi Nordic, I have gathered over the decades that I have been interested in Australia that floods as well as other disasters are annual to an extent. I have been reading a number of accounts that sounded as though the flooding was a bit more than your usual 'normal'. But your point is well taken as always. Best...
  15. I did not realize the extent of the catastrophic flooding that has befallen Australia. Here in California we can identify with some of your problems, but like most everything else in the country, yours is bigger. Hang in there folks.
  16. Never have had an issue. It seems most readers here are smart enough to recognize a bogus PM and trash it. This forum thrives because b.s. is not tolerated and because most members don't need to b.s. they are experienced and trustworthy. Thank you for taking the time to keep things on the up and up, I know we all appreciate it.
  17. A fall with a Hermit Pick is not advised. At least have it in your hand as you detect so you can jettison if you lose your balance. I speak from experience and no, I wouldn't trade the Hermit Pick for any other make. Same with the 7000 and the HipStick, they are the simply the best in their category at the moment. Wishing a good start to the New Year to everyone.
  18. Or a HipStick - one of the best and easiest ways to shift of the weight to your waist.
  19. Thank you (again) Clay Diggins, you may have saved this gent some serious money, a waste of time waiting for the permit that is not a permit for prospecting, and if he was seriously unlucky, having his equipment confiscated. Good one
