  1. Way to fight through the pain, Dan, and congrats on the silver, well done! 😎 I hate to be the one that posts this part, but GE, GP, or HGE stamps on jewelry usually mean gold plated, but there is gold on the ring none the less. 😏
  2. That's a little beauty, Steelheader, congrats and well done! 😎
  3. Congrats on more silver in the poke, well done again! Those large coils really delivered the out of reach goodies. 😎
  4. Well good on you again, Erik! It's odd that it turned up in that spot after all this time. It might have been face down on edge at the time and shifted to a more flat position over time. Congrats again! Maybe your new nemesis will reveal itself the next time out. 😉
  5. Sweet finds, triple-T, congrats on the gold, platinum, & silver! Awesome hunts, congrats!
  6. Those brassy bow-wows make a fine addition to your metal menagerie, so well done! The gold will come next! 😎
  7. Great additions to your silver total, sohN, well done! It's too bad beach #1 has not improved over the years, but beach #2 was loaded and ready for you, congrats on a great day out! 😎
  8. Well good on you, Erik, for making the making the max effort and rescuing 3 of the lost rings for the damsel in distress! Just more good Karma in the bank! Well done! 😎
  9. Wow, F350! First, incredible finds so congrats and well done! Second, man I'm sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you snap back fast (so to speak)! 😏 Just let your body do it's job to heal and don't rush it. You'll be back out before you know it and finding tons of ancient historical items. 😎
  10. Excellent finds, kac, well done! And congrats on the new permission too! It looks like great ground! Happy hunting! 😎
  11. Same here, but from using PWM, Square, and High Sqr audio in Multi-tones, Full Tones, and Pitch tones for a while now, I've come to realize that the D2 is saying a lot more than my Nox did. I've used PWM audio quite a bit, but really like High Sqr audio the best and can understand what it is telling me much better now.
  12. Wow, Col, nicely done! Maybe XP should contact you for the rights to include the Menu & Function Trees in an updated D2 manual. 😉 There definitely needs to be the same created for the WS6... maybe F350 will volunteer for that dangerous mission. 😏
  13. Well done again Geologyhound! I'd take Wheaties and Mercs all day long! 😎
  14. Wow, F350, that looks like a great hunt to me and that 2 Cent coin is a beauty, well done! If that's just the first visit, that farm surely still has goodies the cherry pickers missed. Good job to you and Chase. I know you guys have better sites, but I'd kill for a site like that. 😏
  15. So since you've had the Sphinx 03 a while now, what are your thoughts on it and how does it compare to your favorite pinpointers?
  16. Congrats on the Merc & silver hair clip, Wheaties and the Candadian & French coin, well done!. I couldn't tell what the little one next to the French coin was, and the penny with the hole in it is a unique find, too. Great hunt! 😎
  17. Great question, iron_buzz, I've been curious about this too. So if I understand Geotech correctly, Disc on the D2 examines the target phase and assigns anything lower than the max disc setting as ground or iron phase? And the 3 notches on the D2 can of course be set very narrow or very wide to bin certain targets phases. And since everything in the digital world affects time cycles and bytes, it would be logical to surmise that the more of any kind of processing will cost more memory and processing usage. Of course with the super power of small processors and memory circuits these days, I would wonder at what point does using more processing affect performance? I feel like I can use quite a bit of extra filters, notch and disc, etc without causing major performance degradation, but I seldom use much filtering out of an abundance of caution.
  18. Here's a link to the iOS version of Tect O Trak: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tect-o-trak/id1175005465 I also use Gaia for more detailed map overlays. It cost about the same as OnX Hunts for the Pro version: https://www.gaiagps.com/
  19. I finally got to try out two different versions of the Bird Dog program (Sensitive Full Tones & Goldfield) a few days ago on some nasty relic ground. This ground was a burn dump since the late 1800s and full of iron, melted metals, coal, coke, and pitch. Unfortunately both dogs could not hunt this dirt and just barked on everything ferrous and non-ferrous. I'll have to try tweaking the programs some and maybe try out on some milder ground.
  20. Well, you found the king's ring! Well done! 😉 I found it on Amazon: Royal King Knight Crown Ring
  21. Well way to go, Skully, thats a beauty and well done on paying for the D2 with your finds! That's something many land hunters never do, but I consider mine paid off in great times and cool relics. 😎
  22. Great job, Dan, and congrats on sniffing out the gold, silver, and copper (I count the Wheaties)! Well done again! 😎
  23. Holy cow, Lodge Scent, that's an incredible find and in immaculate condition! Congrats and extremely well done! I actually have the Bird Dog loaded up and haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I definitely will on the next outing!
  24. I did too, until I got the 10x5" and then I retired the 6". It just worked better for my hunting places. Of course you're not odd at all, NCt, if the 6" is working well for you, then I say, "Hell Yeah!" 😉
  25. I'm just going to throw this out there. Have you tried the Relic program? I know it doesn't have salt sensitivity or magnetic accept/reject, but it is somewhat similar to the Goldfield program, but has subtractive frequencies like the Beach and Dive prigrams to deal with water. You can adjust the max frequency to 40 kHz and set the IAR at 5 and possibly be able to run the sensitivity higher. I've never tried this as I don't live near salt water, but I did try goldfield on a salt beach on vacation recently and it worked great in the dry but way too noisy in the wet. I didn't think to try the relic program then and just ran Beach sensitive in the wet sand and surf. Just a thought.
