Thankfully as an Australian I am ineligible as the rules were too long and complamicated for this black duck.
Also, thankfully, I am able to live my GPX 6000 ‘dream’ and not just be waiting for the container ships to unload. That’s hard for you guys in the States.
Got out for about 1.5 hours this arvo before dark. About a dozen lead shot, some large rusty bolt heads and nails and a little bit of the right colour.
I assume Memorial Day is very similar to our ANZAC Day and is a time for thanks and reflection of those that have served their country to keep us safe and free. In that context it’s not appropriate to say ‘Happy’ Memorial Day but I do hope you all have a good weekend, get to spend some time with your loved ones and enjoy the solitude or comradery that prospecting brings you 🤗
Cheers, NE.
How did you get out ??? Victoria is locked down ?

I inquired yesterday re a ETA for the 17" Mono coil for the 6000 (in South Australia) and the distributor does not have a date yet when they will have them - said Minelab were having chip supply issues and where concentrating on making the 6000 rather than accessories at the moment. Still a very large backlog of orders for the 6000 as well - suggested i could sell mine at a premium at the moment but that's not going to happening - too many adventures planned. Every detecting day my shoulder thanks me for the 6000 - but now other body parts (legs) are starting to complain because i am detecting longer.
yeah if theses stinking lockdowns would piss off ... Three of us had vans packed for a Saturday morning launch...........

Minelab Australia is always outstanding and they respond to emails very quickly, the NZ service agent is fantastic too (A&E Electronics). You took the right step contacting ML Australia when you were having troubles as it makes them aware subcontracted people or their own business in a different region isn't up to their high standards or are having difficulties for whatever reason. if you have no luck elsewhere contacting the place you purchased it from is always the best step. It sounds like Minelab Customer care in the US isn't functioning as intended and Minelab head office in Australia may not have been aware of that but will be now.
yeah i,ve found Minelab in SA great ..............

I know it’s not a hip but a mate is currently in WA with a steel knee and doesn’t appear to be having problems with it. He uses it to make sure his pin pointer and detector are working after fire up too 😂
yeah used my pin pointer to 😁 ...here is one for you tho .....Melbourne Airport . not a problem but Darwin Airport I set the metal detectors off and got hauled away for a search .......having a military base in town changes security obviously .....

Thanks, Northeast. Great review! When you compare Normal vs. Difficult do you think you loose a lot of sensitivity in Difficult? You said you still heard the small stuff well, even with the 14DD/difficult? I don't mind hearing targets a bit softer as long as the threshold is stable.
PS: Finally someone who likes listening to the threshold like me 🙂 Don't like it gone.
Ran the 6000 over the test patch in Inglewood , vs 7000 .5000.4500.
the 6000 smashed every target in normal but struggled on the 2 big ones in difficult compared to it , but would have still pulled me up . could not detect anywhere really well in normal though . so i suppose dug ground and planted targets are a bit like aussie govt covid vaccine information 😝🤪🤣

Well maybe not one video but maybe say 3 on the functionality of the 6000 cutting out the spin, gloss and actors then having some regional highly experienced experts give their take on the 6000 with some tips on what to expect for their particular region without a dictated script.
I would love to see Minelabs marketing plan (not to be confused with advertising plan) - if they have one -to understand their rational behind their fairly disjointed product launch of what is a extremely important product for the company. I'm guessing their prime focus is technology and product development with marketing possibly being a bit of a poor cousin afterthought.
Anyway can't wait to pick up my 6000 on Monday - hopefully it will turn out to be as good as the girl of my dreams.
Beach detecting I always get asked what has been my best find - I always say my wife - it gets a laugh from the ladies.
ha ha wife and anchor in one beach find ........🤪🤪 👩🦳 🤿

Last year i was blocked because of Covid and corresponding state border closures from doing any real gold prospecting in Oz (my home state has very little accessible gold fields) - i stayed home and caught up with all the home renovations🙄.
This year - i have many trips planned - with or without the GPX6000, this year is going to be a ripper compared to last year . I wish everyone luck & good health & i am looking forward to reading all about your great finds & adventures over the next 6 months.
Cheers.🙂
true that and same same ......................🤠

All you really need is a Bluetooth 5.0 aptx low latency speaker; plenty to choose from on Amazon. I already got one for the GPX 6000, and it also works great with the Equinox.
Really ? you want a booster already before using the machine ? do you have secret info on the beast Lunk ?
