I wish Jen ! .not that lucky , headed away to Daylesford for ten days detecting a fortnight ago , then was to shoot across to Maryborough and meet up with my long time detecting mate and his brother from Geelong , and ended up with the jeep gearbox playing up, 125c pulling the van and wheel alignment issues , spent 2 days in Bendigo , 2 days in Castlemaine and nearly a thousand bucks on it ,then it rained and snowed for 3 days , then when I finally got out to pickpocket diggings had the on/ off switch on the 4000 crap itself , total time on ground 2 hrs for 4 targets one two foot deep but a 2x 1 piece of steel . packed traps and come home , bubble wrapped control box and sent it off to minelab for an updated 4500 switch

  15. Yup Jen do notice , a lot more obvious on the pc compared to the 8x4 tablet , and why wouldn,t you . Many moons ago when I was learning the poker machine repair trade or slot machines as you call them over there , I was with a small private business , and we repaired every board we could , money was money , and a jumper wire didn,t cost more than a couple of beers unlike the Aristocrat board jockeys who were our competition , rip it , swap it , send it back to factory when box was full . ha ha was checkin a couple of curley chords off the 3500 a few weeks ago that didn,t work , checked continuity and both had none at same pin , took a punt and cut 3 inches off the most stretched end and bingo problem solved , resoldered ends and when wires of offcut were stripped back just for interest , both white wires in the leads had breaks ,mmmm go figure ,
  16. Notice anything on the photos ? Yup looks like ya had a couple of resistors removed !
  17. mmm hearin ya steve , left that forum for a similar reason , but ocassionally checked in , checked in to see if you had posted because you had not updated your magic haul here couldn,t believe the shite an then deleted the other forum from favourites , I don,t quite understand the modern world today , or maybe forum mentality , anyway carry on Mad Fish , I,ll nominate ya for THE MOBIL GOOD MOVE AWARD

  20. N A S T Y ... maybe you should name and shame , I was going to head over with one bloke and his missus , but wasn,t allowed to bring the hounds ,then decided on the gold gypsies ,, then ended up getting a new hip welded in , week 4 now , so its next year ,
  21. mmmm so are you saying its a WA based operater Tuna ?
  22. Crivens !!! reminds me as a kid putting a garden fork thru me big toe whilst wearing them looking for worms to go fishing in the vegie patch . lesson learnt for life Ha flip flops only heard of that for the first time on Discovery channel the other day watching deadliest catch . here in Victoria they are called Thongs or Japanese Safety Boots ;;
  23. Speaking of cool, we have been -3,-2,-1 nearly every night and a max of around 12,s during the day, bloody frost fans in the surrounding orchards don't do much for a good nights sleep . we are back to a real winter of 30 years ago , the seasons seem to be turning back the clock . Jen do they do controlled burns over there ? as our parks mob here or just rely on mother nature ? yes Charcoal ,nasty stuff ! . when they advertise a burn here its like flys to a honey pot ; a mate in the fireys that does burns told me every time they go to an area ; a regular lights up another in the proximity knowing it will get put out but will also open up the area he wants , but they can,t catch him in the act .
