  1. Steve I fully understand what you are stating there as I have done the same thing in many stores. While doing so I have been asked not to return again, laughed at, slapped, and even escorted out of the store. All I have done is tell the person the I want a beautiful blonde, 5ft 6in. tall, less than 135lbs, 40-24-34 in measurements and willing to spend the holidays away from family. I even told them the hair color was optional and they still laughed. Why don't these so called companies just listen to their customers any more is beyond me.
  2. I'm sorry but they had to discontinue it already due to the Chinese stealing the patents and selling them on Ebay for the past several years. Those knock-offs are hurting the industry really bad. I figure that someone else will try to bring it back to the market, maybe Knomad will give it a try.
  3. Very informative video, thank you for sharing.
  4. Nice looking spike after all those years. The lead is actually a rare map of the Lost Dutchman's Mine that has areas mapped out along the way to it. Great find in any case, it could be a weight for a scale as the early ones were not always stored in a box.
  5. I thought I would hit the parks right after the egg hunts, and see if I can find a special egg that someone lost. They tend to lose more rings and earrings helping the youngsters find an egg.
  6. Thanks for the video, as it only shows that you can find gold almost anywhere.
  7. Thanks for sharing the video, and I like the shiny that I see in the pan. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there.
  8. Here in my neck of the woods, every few years I get to take the old dredge out to a creek that is about 5 feet deep and pull out some nice nuggets. I have an area almost i/2 mile long that i have permission to find as much as I can within a few weeks. I have always done it when they do a draw down of the lake that feeds this creek and I am able to walk the bottom and get some of the good stuff on the walls of the creeks. I may have to video my next trip on the creek and post it for you Steve.
  9. Nice finds once again and glad that you were able to save them. I ran out of likes and hope you understand. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there.
  10. Once again some nice finds in the books for you. Glad to see you having so much luck with your permissions. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  11. Thank you Steve for the experience you shared and I remember from school stories about what you went through. Very devastated the area was and took a long time to recover. I sort of remember that there are still areas that show signs of damage from that quake if I remember correctly.
  12. Yes mine is better than most others, because it came from my grandfather and he told me so. The 800 is a great machine and nothing compares to mine. Steve I know what you are saying and have read many things on this forum that suggest the same thing that you are saying. Some times a person knows what a detector is saying to the person and they know what they find because they know their machine. The tech has almost run out of things to improve on and almost any good machine is just like the next one on the market. Enough said from me as I have had to much moonshine and the screen is getting hard to see. I hope everyone can understand what I am saying. My 800 is better than your's
  13. Welcome and glad to have you here! I think we could also learn a lot from you with what you have done and I know if you ever have a question that someone here could help you out. Hope to read some of your stories of hunts that you have and maybe see some pictures of your finds. Good luck and good hunting.
  14. Stop it, your going to make Gerry jealous because your gold has a diamond in it.
  15. Down load a picture of it from the internet and when you see a very large growth o a tree look at the picture. They are either on a tree that is dying or at a dead trees base most of the time. They take on the taste of almost anything that you cook them with. Great on steak, chicken, pork, and even if you put them on burgers. I have made soups out of them and use them all the time. Good luck on finding some and learn how to keep them going.
  16. As many people has said so many times on here " It doesn't hurt to ask unless they have a shotgun pointed at you". So the more you ask permission and interact with them the better your chances to get their permission.
  17. Almost every time I get a chance to get out there, I have to get some berries, but mainly get some chicken of the woods mushrooms. They grow year round and if you know how to gather them up you won't hurt them and they will continue to grow.
  18. Beautiful looking country and if they would have known that it was full of gold they would have built a cabin and stuck it out until they had good weather.
  19. Nice looking rings and glad that you were able to save them. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  20. You should have 3 wires on the jack, and 1 of them is the common while the other 2 are left and right speaker. You can use a standard multi-meter to find the common wire. Good luck and I am sure that Phrunt would have the wiring diagram for you.
  21. Congrats on the permission and I hope it pays off for you. Good hunting and stay safe out there as the snakes are going to be mean this time of the year.
  22. I have to say it is a new model swing arm that either has a coil scuff plate and a stand that holds the detector up by a couple of paddles so that you can dig up the gold without dropping the detector. It could also be some new way to go crazy just guessing what it is. What ever it is I'm sure that someone out there will be needing it to keep the load off their heart. Good luck on what ever it is and I hope that you sell a lot of them.
  23. When I am in the creeks near me I get that a lot, it could be a very small piece of iron, or even a very small piece of gold. There is also bits of silver in these creeks also and they can do the same. Good luck and look very close when they are out of the ground and you not get a signal as they can also be a high iron clay that you are hearing.
  24. Thanks for sharing the video and glad to see the saves, very nice items. Good luck on your next outing.
