Looks promising from what I can see. and I have to say I love the area that your in.
How deep is the hole for the pump that your using on the sluice?
Have you tried the bottom of the creek yet and if so what has it turned up.
Good luck and good hunting.

Looks like a cocaine spoon or a novelty pipe bowl cleaner.
Just guessing on this, hope to read what it actually is.

Very nice finds and glad that you saved them.
Good luck on your next outing.

Nice looking button and I didn't think it was N.C. as the C didn't look right.
Glad that you found out what it was. Great save and good luck on your next hunt.

Great hunt, I believe that you have mastered the D2. Just one thing that you didn't find this hunt and that would be a Hot Wheels car.
Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.

That item held rhinestones and the blue coloring is the old glue base.
I still believe that it could be for a man's jacket, but with the stones that were used more than likely a dime store piece for ladies.
I have seen similar items with more than 2 colors on it in the shape of a cross that pinned the same way.
Still looking for a photo for it.

Like Rick says try to clean it up some more and take some pictures of it, that way we might be able to match it on Google.
My first guess is a broach that pins a scarf together for a woman, my second guess is a fraternity pin of some organization. The second guess is based on the time period and the way some high class men wore their clothes.
Also if you can tell us if it base metal or what it my be made of would help.
Good luck on cleaning it without damaging it.

Great work on the finds and it looks like you spent a lot of time out there.
Good luck on your next outing and save some for me.

I wish I could see a better picture of just the coin at a higher resolution. That way we might be able to see something to make a positive ID on it.
Nice find no matter what it is.

Great hunt and hope you have many more like that.
Some times those iffy signals are nice targets also, so next time maybe you can show some gold in the mix. I know that you were looking for good targets, but I tend to dig everything. I can't wait to get back home to grab my 800 and get to swing it in some of the local areas.
Good luck and stay safe.

Great hunt again from you, one of these days I wish to meet up and go sluicing with you. That way I can learn a little bit from you and maybe show you some of what I have learned from my grandfather.
Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there.

Very nice save and glad you found it.
Good luck on your next hunt.

Thanks for the information as it sounds like it's going to be a nice adventure.

Nice gold to show for your hard work.
Wish you better luck on your hunt and hope that you find some higher quality gold.
Good luck and stay safe out there.

I laughed at VL's post because I assumed when he wrote they "were panning , for a while anyway" to mean they became bored and engaged in some amorous outdoor activity , getting caught in the act . I think a number of us thought the same thing , and that it's funny . Having had that sort of experience myself on a supposedly deserted beach , and with the young lady desperately trying to cover up I said " why bother , they have already seen everything anyway " ! You have to laugh about things like that . I hope VL understands where my laugh came from .
Well you were correct about the whole situation alright, and I know that it was funny in a way.
I had to make sure that I didn't share a photo of what happened to us.
I was just kidding on the last post, and hope that people understand that I can say some things that are sometimes funny. Of course it was funny when those people showed up, but it really didn't bother us to much, and we were able to finish what was started later that night.
There is no more in life more beneficial to a person than to laugh at himself when he makes a mistake.

Very nice hunts and that last ring looks like it might be old.
Good luck on your next outing and don't forget the charger next time as you never know when you will need it.

Always remember there is no stupid questions on here, but you might get a few stupid answers.
Really don't be afraid to ask any question about detecting or panning for gold as there are many people here to answer them.
Welcome and enjoy this wonderful hobby.

Sad when so many people laugh at your post.
I'll try to do better next time.

Welcome to the forum and glad to have you with us here.
I see that you also have the 800 like I do, how do you like it and how long have you been metal detecting?
Good luck and good hunting.

Grandfather and I had used Optex driveway alert system with 3 remotes for a long time as they watched our backs and gave us about a thousand feet warning. He had modified the master to take a battery and the remotes all used a 9 volt battery which lasted over a year with heavy use. I'm going to have to start using them again as I have had several people walk up on me and my girlfriend when panning for gold. Well we were panning for gold for a while.

Very nice hunt again from you.
Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.

Thank you, I don't get the magazine and had no idea what it looked like.
Which one is Steve? Just kidding.

Nice hunt again for you as every little bit adds up.
That looks just like a couple of creeks that I do a lot of panning and sluicing in near me. They are within 5 miles of my house at most, and one of them is less than a 1/2 mile down the road.
So nice to be out there having fun with the sun shinning down.
Good luck and stay safe out there.

Congrats on the gold and it looks like a little bit of silver in the pile also.
Good luck on your next outing.

How many pointers do you have now as I guess you have several of them just hanging in your closet. Did you ever get your battery holder for them made?
