  1. Try going about 15-20 feet on the other side of that line and try it again. There could have been an old structure that sat on the beach in that area. Great finds in such a small area so keep it up. Good luck and happy hunting.
  2. Very nice barber and it looks like it is in good condition. Great hunt and good luck on your next outing.
  3. Great post and some really good information with the reading of this subject. At one time I had given it some thought about one of those, but now see the reasons not to get one. The way I have banged up and dropped some of my tools, I would have it out of calibration in no time. I think I will just learn these detectors my grandfather left me and be happy once I can find time to get out and hunt.
  4. Great hunt again, and I will be looking for your next adventure. Happy hunting.
  5. Good looking gold no matter how small or large it is, it took time, research, and skill to get it. Way to go for sure, and keep up the good work.
  6. Wow, that is some nice finds! Good luck on your next hunt.
  7. Great hunt and some very nice finds. Good luck on your next outing.
  8. Very nice find for your area for sure, glad it happened to you. Good luck on your next hunt and keep hitting that location.
  9. Great hunting for sure and one of these days I will get to make some finds of my own. Good luck on your next hunt.
  10. Nice finds again, where are you off to next now that you picked that area to the bones. Good luck on your next hunt.
  11. Fantastic finds and great looking coins. Good luck on your next hunt and please go over that area again to find what you missed.
  12. I wish to thank both of you who replied to this so I can let my friend know what he has. I will also let him know to check into something else for what he wants to do with it. Caleb
  13. My neighbor who was a friend of my grandfather needs some advice to improve his old Gold Master detector. He is wanting to know if a different coil will help him in finding gold and other items better. The detector is a TR-Discriminator Model 66TR with a D stamped next to the model number. He is wanting to go gold hunting with me and wants to see if there is something better than what looks like a 8 inch coil on it. My question is would a different coil help him or not, and if so which one and where to get one. To everyone who reads this I thank you for any help you can give. I forgot to mention that the detector used to be his fathers some 40 years ago and he wants to use it if possible. Caleb
  14. Great finds and good detective hunting from some of the people on here. From the price of the item on Etsy I would have to say it is mostly silver with a small amount of base metal of some sorts. Good luck on your next hunt.
  15. Great find on the barber, and good luck on your next hunt.
  16. Good looking coin for sure! Good luck on your next hunt and bring bear spray for the dogs.
  17. Looks like someone nailed the coin to something with a hole like that. Great finds for sure and take care of your wife for sure, get her your 800 and go get yourself something else. Good luck on your next hunt
  18. Just put some lipstick on it and call it a hoe. Looks to be around late 1800's like some that my grandfather has in the garage. He cleaned it up and put a new handle on it and I will be using it this spring in the garden. Great find and good luck on your next outing.
  19. Very nice for a short time and don't worry to much about the dime. Sounds like the lake is going to produce something nice for you. Good luck and stay safe. What's a little color if you get some nice finds, I would like to have blue fingers and some nice gold to show for it. That would warm them up in a hurry.
  20. That is some nice areas to hunt, but it looks like you have to stay off the mountain areas. I can see where you can go up to the mountain sides, but not much further than that. I think I would be in the creeks and at the base of those ridges. Good luck and I hope you can pin point the exact areas you can hunt in.
  21. Don't you think for the price of one of those suckers you need to hire a body guard for it. That way it won't get scratched up or stolen. I know that I won't be getting something like that anytime soon due to the cost. besides I'm still learning my 800.
