The Legend Beast Mode Demonstration
JCR replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
Jeff, did you experiment with Dt in Park mode on those flagged targets? The little extra depth I can get with BE mode comes with little to no extra target information compared to Dt enhancement at practically the same depth. -
A very good thread topic.

Welcome from East Texas.

At some point I intend to set my test back up in better planned EMI free conditions. The Legend seems to also have two main TX frequencies no matter the mode(except BE) or even SMF selection. The secret sauce is evidently in the signal processing.

They look like galvanized knock out plugs from electrical junction boxes. Are they magnetic?

The Legend Beast Mode Demonstration
JCR replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Legend Forum
Probably silence without DT activated. -
I don’t own a MInelab unit.

The spike at 25 kHz did remain. It was evidently a constant outside source of EMI. I should have done some pre video testing, but just did it on the spur of the moment. A more EMI free spot would have been better. Thanks for watching.

I made a Post with a video link to my off the cuff frequency read out of the Legend in Gold Field & BE modes using the Versa's EMI Preview Screen. The consistent 25 kHz spike was evidently from a constant outside EMI source. Nothing even close to conclusive but interesting. I've got to get a better camera!

I had the idea to use the EMI Preview screen on the Versa to look at the Legend's new BE & Gold Field Modes. Nothing conclusive but interesting none the less. The consistent 25 kHz spike is evidently constant outside EMI. I need to redo this in an EMI free place.

It’s about G-4.

Gen D is a motion All Metal mode with adjustable tone pitch breakpoint & TID. Great concept but I have never been able to get it to function anywhere near as good as the Anfibio's very powerful motion Disc modes.
-
We will see how close it might be related to the Anfibio/Impact Gen D modes.
-
This is encouraging but should have been provided at release. Detailed descriptions & application is always needed/helpful. I'm sure glad Nokta is so responsive to their users.

Excellent

Is that type of flint native to your area or was it a trade item? The Indians here in East Texas had Salt to use as a trading commodity. I don’t know what all they exchanged it for but when I was a teenager I found nice point made of black Obsidian. The closest deposits are in far West Texas & New Mexico. To find a spear/atlatl point like yours in perfect condition is amazing.

Continued working the scraped areas Saturday afternoon. No more Halves but another pair of Wheat Cents. The coin finds are still trending older. 1894 & 1904 IHP, 1899 & 1904 Liberty Head/V Nickels and a well worn 1889 Liberty Seated Dime and a nice condition 1900 O Barber Dime. That is the third Seated dime from this site. I'm also very pleased with the IHPs & V Nickels as I don't dig them that often in decent condition as these are. I'm just about to the point I will have to wait for the rest of the scraped areas to dry out to where I can walk without sinking and the hole not immediately fill with water.

Then why did they purchase the company & rights to it's product R & D?

People are odd critters & you can't change them. You just have to take them as they are.

Can I Get Some Help Identifying This Civil War Bullet?
JCR replied to Dcraun's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
That would be an extraordinarily heavy bullet at 770+ grains!
