  1. I look for Nokta to release the Simplex Ultra as a Selectable Single Frequency (5,10,15&20kHz) and still match or beat the price of the X-Terra Pro. We will see.
  2. Good to read again. Thanks for posting both again.
  3. Good video. Thanks for linking to it.
  4. Patience. Nokta has followed through on everything I can remember they have stated about their past intentions. I feel sure they will introduce a family of PI detectors that have cutting edge features and be very adaptable to Relic, Saltwater & Prospecting/Gold detecting. The price to value received will be a market changer. I'm as antsy as anyone for it to be announced.
  5. The Vista X is right there too even though it is a sort of hybrid analog/digital process. Excellent headphones are a must.
  6. I have dug those at certain sites. I believe they were used to fasten Slate roofing tiles. The house I lived in as a teenager used those & one of the sites I have found them has a standing Carnegie Library building with original Slate roof.
  7. It's exciting to drive by a familiar place and see fresh dirt. You just never know.

    Welcome from East Texas.
  10. That is a good start. It is a fun machine because it is so easy to use effectively. Clive's book is good information.
  11. What ever future detector you decide on, I would recommend going with Simultaneous Multi Frequency. That technology handles mineralized ground much better than single frequency.
  12. Congratulations on your retirement. Enjoy. Welcome from East Texas.
  13. Welcome from East Texas. Sounds like you have a really great piece of ground to learn on.
  14. I don’t have to deal with snow, but when the ground cover gets ahead of me, I head into the woods.
  15. That is a neat vehicle. Congratulations on getting it back in good working condition. I have a 1947 Willys CJ2A that has been in the family since the early 1950s. I wouldn't take for it.
  16. You may have to get out to some small towns. Welcome from East Texas.
  17. That certainly is a special find. There is bound to be some more interesting find to be made at that site.
  18. @Mark Gillespie has brought up a very good "detector health check". NASA Tom has also recommended this. I should try to do it but forget in my impatience to get busy hunting. I wonder to what degree solar activity changes manmade EMI?
