  1. I am not worthy.😩 My reflection in the mirror is probably the oldest relic I've come across lately.😝 My oldest find is probably a piece of rusted iron,,,,,sorry , best I could think of, probably threw it away. No pic.🙄 WAIT ! When did they come out with those Playboy rings ?
  2. Davey , Davey Crockett . King of the wild frontier ! Fess Parker starred in that show IIRC. I always wanted one of those !🥸
  3. Nice medallion and story to go with it ! Hope it finds it's way back home.👍
  4. 🤯 And the halves keep on coming ! 👍
  5. Your mission Mr Phelps (if you decide to accept it) is to make sure they bury nothing but dirt ! 👍 As always we will disavow any knowledge of your activities and applaud your finds ! Dig 'em dig 'em !
  6. blackflag and King Welcome and welcome back to the forums to both of ya from uptah camp !🥸 Did you find any treasarrrrrrr today ?🏴‍☠️
  7. It's great to have you on the crew Bob . Your experiences cover a lot of ground , literally as well as figuratively ! The stories so far were also impressive . 👍 We have a lot in common besides detecting and prospecting . We'll have to start a chit chat thread in meet and greet or a PM and talk other gear addictions . My 2nd axe was a Mosrite bass.
  8. Welcome aboard from uptah camp Bob ! After reading several posts here by the forum's heavy hitters (I am not worthy) I want to thank you for deciding to make the best forum even better by comin' aboard ! I remember seeing that illustration too and I still use what I learned from it. I see you mentioned something about replicating guitars and amps in your bio. Did you mean build from scratch kinda stuff ? That's impressive . I designed a prototype circuit for a local luthier and dabble a bit myself . I spent my life on the road in the business as a sound system tech , now just an OSM (old sound man) and a fan of Uncle Doug.....
  9. ....................... not sure how to post a moment of silence but sure know why Skull posted that^. And I don't care what people say behind my back , I'm counting those golden pull rings as gold rings found ! well , at least until I find a real one !
  10. Unlikely to use mine in the water. Just scoop as fast as possible before it fills back in.😏 In less wet to dry sand , I use mine almost every target to zero in better after using coil PP , mostly to keep from trashing the target . I'm no stranger to a scratched or destroyed target that just got a kiss by my dig tool . When I find that first gold ring , it must be PERFECT ! 🤩 I still use the coil to PP but even with the 6" I was still finding a target that had jumped to the side wall once I got the hole opened up and then up and up. It's not so much a time thing but wear and tear on my elbows. Five seconds of handheld PP vs one or two extra scoops ... and besides , as we all know smaller holes are better 😜
  11. 🥸You found a great detecting situation ! Hope you have more success helping them to clear it out , and in the process find more of those pairs 🖖.
  12. Welcome to the crew SDA67 ! This place is full of answers , if you can't find the one you're looking for just ask. Getting permissions is a good skill to have ! So what farm stuff have you found ?
  13. I wonder if we'll see an Algo Force pin pointer ? 🤔 I've used rechargeable batteries on the road and offgrid since the 80s. Have probably saved a million $ over disposables .(the old ni-cads just wouldn't work in my camera but everything else were good with them , and the NiMH too.) I got 4 lithium type C 9 volts for about $25 last winter IIRC . Just get the pin pointer that you like best on other features after reading this thread. The batteries are available to make them all rechargeable.
  14. Nice ! An old abandoned horse race location . ( I live on one but this one was never abandoned.) I recognized the storm window lock (top right in junk photos.) The horseshoe was a sign of good luck. 🥸 I predict a lot of silver.....🤔
