  1. Got me thinking about hunting new ground.    I remember watching film of snorkelers/ scuba divers using a ( vacuum) to uncover finds.  This could be of big help right here where I'm sitting.  ( A heavily sanded in beach) like many.    We have nice holes to slip into between shore and the first sandbar.  Unfortunately once out there, we are walking on loose sand. Makes one wonder " What lays below".   Wouldn't surprise me if a mobile unit with a video screen isn't already out there.     Huh

  3. Hunting in AM, thought it was going to be another tent peg.   After dumping the scoop above the surf line, kicked the pile and "What's this".   A Cross made from 3 nails.    One, for each hand and one for his feet.   I never seen one like this before.   It's a keeper for me and getting a chain for it.    IMG-0494.thumb.jpg.f66c078364e8c20228d1e98aa3a866f8.jpgIMG-0494.thumb.jpg.f66c078364e8c20228d1e98aa3a866f8.jpg

  4.  So my buddy's with hard work have been getting their share of coins and a few cell phones.    (best find) guy sold his dug cell phone at a kiosk $250.       Early on I dug a thin Silver ring with a black lynx stone.    Yesterday, after having little luck up on the dry, started working the surf line.    After a dry distance I hit the Wave ring, a quarter, than the Silver Diamond ring all within about 10 yards.   It is a trap shoot.        I been hunting in AM pretty near all the time.   I just think that do to the lack of targets, it's best to check everything out. Oh, the Wave ring had me fooled, turned out junk.

Sorry about the blur, but this picture should be helpful.   This machine is in a Walmart.    But probably in other places too.   Guy in the pic is holding his $250

Two guys I hunt with have each scored a Cell phone, both flooded wouldn't turn on.    At a kiosk one guy got $75 for his and his buddy just got.        $250 for his .       Kiosk was in Walmart.       I found a few of these in the past and couldn't get a sniff.   The times are a changing.

Couple of guys hunting them here on the Florida Gulf Coast where I'm at.   Neither guy has any complaints and both are holding up really well as far as break downs.   Our youngest hunter (62) is really having a some good hunts with his AT Max.  With no complaints.    He can put in longer hunts than us old Fogies, but that's life.    He was a Newbie in November and has really turned it on and is having a ball with his Max.

Oh, didn't mention that both machines are getting a Lot of use wading and haven't sprung a leak since November.

  10. Along with better weather a few of our hunters are picking up some finds. Got a younger hunter (62) who has been here since November.   He's hunting a lot except in the worst conditions.   And compared to older guys (over 70) he is setting the bar.    Their are some shallow cuts popping up up and down the beach along with a safe place to wade here and there.   The most part though is the long stretches of mind boggling dead areas.   A couple of 3 cell phones have been the best fines ( being sold from $25 to $75).   Breaking a buck in change is a big day but our younger has broke $5 a couple of times.

Two guys using the At Pro and AT Maxi , they seem to be holding up good. The rest are hunting the Labs. Except me with the Tar.     Which continues to be the most trustworthy on the beach in my opinion.  With a few easy adjustments the Tar can run as smooth as ever.   Only thing working against it is deeply sanded local conditions and my 75 year old body.

  11. Very early  this morning 2 huge storm cells hit the area.   Not where I'm staying but just a few miles east of us a disaster!  Couple marinas, stores motels, couple hotels, private homes, you name jt.   Power lines down, can't get in or out.     Somehow no one badly hurt.   Got to hand it to the weather and local stations for calling this early.    One day I'm fighting a bad cold feeling sick, next day bunch of people losing their homes and lively hoods.        Life is just a spin of the wheel.    There will be donations needed and wife and I will help out.

  12. Well after H S football season the temps will have dropped some that's when I'll go out and check things out.   Gonna continue filling my time chasing Crappie.     When I get started again, I got it covered with my Tar, the ATPro and a Deep Tech Vista.. When I finished up last fall my Haunts were Stripped so I'll see if there are any new drops.

  13.    Rehoboth Beach Delaware.     First hunt begun at Dawn.    There was a good crowd day before.    Well the conditions were about perfect in the wet sand area.   Worked down threw where was some beach erosion.  Actually about a 3 foot cut.    Targets were deep and popping up all along the high water wash.    After digging a target I backed tracked just to see what I'd missed.   Most times finding something.    Beach starts getting crowded around 10 am , so have to quit.   No gold, one small Silver trinket, about $4 , mostly quarters.   No trouble setting the Tar for quiet, ran in All Metal.  Which brought out the Cheap jewelry. Surprisingly very little trash, foil.   Best fine was a Cladda Ring with no markings inside.      Next morning, old Neptune said enough, and brought in about a foot of extra .   soft sand.   So back up to the dry which amounts to change and trash.    This machine, maybe I'm easy to impress but can't think what else I could ask it to do.   It's the Hunter either by research or by luck got to get the coil over the Target.   Many hours on the Tar wading in Florida no problems.  Not interested in another machine.

  14. The Tar is still it for me. Where I stay in the winter, replenished beaches, mild salt water, a different machine won't make a whole lot of difference.  (If any).    At 74 I still got some Pop, but I see myself being out hunted by youngers (in their 60's ).   The Tar can cancel out the salt noise, and it plenty deep for me.    The sad reality of it all is nobody is carrying change, gold has turned into Stainless, so even a good hunter has to be lucky too.     I got a busy beach I hunt every year for a week coming up late August.   So We'll See.

  15. Chuck, I believe we have come to the point where we have to, as they say (" We gotta read the room") Tarsacci isn't interested in new sales. This guy must have something else going on to be bothered. As for me, my Tar is my #1 go to machine for beach, water hunting, fields.   If I need a smaller coil for trashy areas I go to a couple other machines that fill the bill.

  16. How about this.       So we really don't know how many Tar's are out there.   (I've never seen another one other than mine).      Than how many of the Tars owners have moved on to the next little World Beater?    Now how many of us are ready to shell out $$$$ for a Tarsacci with a few enhancement's?      That dosent leave many of us. Like there are a few suggestions if came about would not result in one extra find,         Alot of these dreams, change this add that.   Well most of us already have another brand collecting dust in  a cubbert with these fiddle faddles.     These changes (some would be nice) are not going to increase sales by much if anything.      What would , is some good advertising promotions.

Remember solid, durable construction, extractable  long lasting batteries .      Ability to handle affects of salt.    Relatively simple to use.   It's a tool, its not made for every type of hunting, no machine is.    You think the inventor knows that , bet he does.     Don't know about Tarsacci, but current sales pay for any research & development for most products.     So that brings us back to what's the biggest problem,   Advertising, ads, videos a little Splash.   Successful marketing.         I brought up alot, of things I don't know much about, but I believe that's where things are laying for the moment.
