I've owned my MDT 8000 for almost a year now. It's a tricky machine to master, but I think I've managed to wrap my head around it for the most part. I use it primarily for the beach and it works great, especially in the wet sand! I am able to use salt balance and black sand settings to get rid of annoying falsing signals, and when you run it in all metal mode, its deeper than any VLF machine I currently own. Its definitely a keeper!
