  1. Nothing lower than a damn thief. Dn tweakers.
  2. Sovereign is my all time favorite deep coin killer! And Im talking turf, not surf. Combo a sov tones and dead nuts i.d., with Deus ability in iron and weight, be my perfect vlf.
  3. Agree with Steve...AT Pro is great machine. Gives that nice high tone on a coin, even at depth..build is suspect, screen sucks, and changing coils is a bitch...but it shines in iron, and very accurate id. Just dont accidently set it in the ace mode...tripped me out, kept hearing bells
  4. Im with Steve. Hell, I make my living in construction, but I sure as hell dont want to build on every bit of land.
  5. Deus and f19 has iron volume too. Dont know how soon you are planning on buying, but Scott Jocoy was telling me to join him on a Saturday hunt soon. Thinking I may go in 2 weeks. If your there, you can try the Deus and f19 (improved gb pro). Im in love with the Deus myself...run it in full tones, zero disc...noisy as hell, but dont feel like I miss much. Its like a fast minelab set like that, you can even hear 2 targets under the coil...like low conductor with a high conductor...gives that wierd, mixed tone.
  6. Ha! I went Saturday to say hi to my buddy Don Robinson. Used to hike with him, but havent in a year or so. I waited patiently while people asked him questions. Finally, got with him and said" Hey Rockstar, can I have your autograph?".
  7. Ha! 2 hours after?? Man, wish I could have stayed and hung out. Dont get a big head, but the only reason I showed up on Sunday, was to say hi to you, lol. Anyway, good lecture, especially for folks new to detecting, hope it clears it up some. Bet you got a hundred" so which detector should I buy?". Hopefully those who get the bug seriously, join this forum...its the best out there. Oh....you did get me excited when you brought up the czx!
  8. Haha, GROSS Roughwater!! Nice finds Fred! Whats the temps out there now?
  9. I have used both at pro and g2 ....either are fantastic..at pro gets nod for more conveying audio and deeper on silver, g2 little faster . Cant go wrong either one
  10. This works out good...Im starting a roof job Saturday in Placerville...about 2 miles away. So figure I will get my guys going on the tear off, then swing by, say hi to Don Robinson, and check things out. Then Sunday, break away around noon for Steves lecture, and hopefully finally meet ya dude.
  11. That reminds me Cal... I heard a story on our local radio station, of a body found behind the Walmart in Sonora by "a man metal detecting for old coins"...not what I want to find.
  12. Nice finds for sure! Rare day to get 2 barber quarters! Have you checked the values on the barbers? Often can be surprising!
  13. Goldpick, that is one FANTASTIC find! Im really not familiar at all with Australia's gold rush history, but you have me wanting to do some reading. Congratulations!!!!
